Thats a decision I would not like to make. I think Harvin's migraine issues are a thing of the past, and he's 24, on a team with a stud RB in his prime and no other above average WRs. But MJD is still only 27, is solid in PPR, and in an offense that should be improving.Real tough call.Just got offered Harvin for MJD in a PPR dynasty. Thinking about taking it. I am RB-heavy.
They pretty much are. This was from June of last year:http://aol.sportingnews.com/nfl/story/2011-06-18/percy-harvin-optimistic-migraine-problem-has-been-solvedI think Harvin's migraine issues are a thing of the past
On top of that, he played all 16 games last year. Just throwing that out there.Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin, who has been dogged by migraine headaches for much of his life, says he hasn't had a migraine for five or six months and is cautiously optimistic that a solution has been found for the problem."This is the best I've felt, probably, since I've been in kindergarten," he said in an interview with The Virginian-Pilot.
Julio, Calvin, Andre Johnson...I would make the trades above because your splitting hairs now. Thomas/Gonz if I already have a TE and could get like a handcuff back sure.wait. i liked harvin, but top 3 WR? so would you all trade say jordy nelson or larry fitzgerald for harvin (standard scoring)? what about Demaryius Thomas + something (like tony gonzalez) if the harvin owner has weak TEs?
I hear you. MJD is so solid, but you have to assume he has peaked and will be trending downward for the remainder of his career. It is just so tough to keep up that kind of production with that workload every year. Harvin had a pretty huge year last year and I think he barely scratched the surface. His coach even recently commented that he needs to get Harvin involved even more. I think 90 catches, 1,000 yards receiving and 300 yards rushing will be his floor for the next five years.Thats a decision I would not like to make. I think this is a fair trade. Harvin's a good addition if you need WR help; MJD's a good addition if you need RB help. Fair value for both sides.Just got offered Harvin for MJD in a PPR dynasty. Thinking about taking it. I am RB-heavy.
Thanks for the feedback. I agree - win/win.I think this is a fair trade. Harvin's a good addition if you need WR help; MJD's a good addition if you need RB help. Fair value for both sides.Just got offered Harvin for MJD in a PPR dynasty. Thinking about taking it. I am RB-heavy.
Well, in my redraft today a trade of Donald Brown and Beanie Wells for MJD was accepted, so it looks like youre getting more than market value for MJD right nowI hear you. Well you're clearly not his guy. Rejected quickly and then countered with Bradshaw + Kevin Smith for McCoy.As good as Harvin is (and I own him in every league), Bowe+DeSean is too much for him. I would take that in a heartbeat. This is spot on. FBG is only site I saw having him around 10. Most others have him as a mid-WR2. I'm about to offer DeSean + Bowe for him (Return yardage league) which I feel should be perceived as "too much" for the owner who took him as his WR2 in auction.Good points, but I will say that Percy was ranked well above his ADP by many prominent sites including this one. In some leagues, his owner will be whoever drafts off of other people's rankings and they might not be particularly attached to him.I think anyone who drafted Harvin did so because they were really high on him, or at least thats why I did. Otherwise, there were at least a dozen other WRs in his tier - many of which had more perceived upside, perceived consistency, and less injury risk in the general public's POV it would seem - so its more likely you wouldve drafted 1 of them.I dont see anyone who took Percy selling him right now
