Now that Sidney Rice is in SEA and McNabb will be in Minn will Harvin be the #1 in Minn ?

I would think maybe 1000yds and about 8TDs might be about right.....

IF everything happens as it seems: 88/1285/8. When Mcnabb has a good weapon, he loves him. And he has never had an AP before.

Having both Harvin and Mike Thomas it certainly is boom or bust here being #1 WR's if those teams stand part. I was hoping Rice would actually stay in Minnesota to keep the #1 DB's off Harvin but maybe this is a blessing in the end.

McNabb has never completed 80 passes to a WR before. Closest was TO getting 77 in 14 games in 2004. Moss had 90+ receptions last year but 22 of those came in Rexxy games. Not saying it can't happen, just disagreeing that's his history.

Love Harvin's game, but the migraines scare me a bit.
He was just on NFLN and said he hasn't had a migraine in 7 months now.
I like Harvin for this year, but that quote doesn't instill any additional confidence in me, since he hasn't played football in that 7 months either. I'm no doctor, but not having a migraine when you aren't getting hit by 200+ lb men isn't the same as not having a migraine when you are being hit by those 200+ lb men.

I can understand having some hesitation, but I think you sound like you're being overly pessimistic. Plenty of people have migraines and they have nothing to do with being hit by football players. And while I have not seen any statistical evidence either way, I've not even heard of anecdotal evidence that migraines are more prevalent amongst football players to make me think that impact is a factor here.

Harvin said the doctors fixed some issues in his neck and his diet that they think were the cause. No clue what was done to his neck, so no idea if it's something an impact could make worse. But I wouldn't downgrade him more than say, 1 game's worth of FP in projections until they start up again.

Migraines can be triggered by bright lights, loud noises, etc. I think they could also be triggered by violent collisions (which are often accompanied by loud noises, and played under bright lights). Again, I like Harvin for this year, and my projections are based on his health for 16 games, but all I posted was that his quote about not having a migraine for 7 months means little for me, since he hasn't played football in that time either.

Regurgitating something Jim Miller said on Sirius - there is some scuttlebutt that Berrian will assume the #1 role.

I don't believe it, but worth mentioning

Football collisions werent ever the cause of his migraines. If they were he'd have quit football in high school. Headaches can be caused by collisions. Migraines are a different animal. Going 7 months without them for him is relief from them he hadnt had in years.

I don't doubt someone other than Harvin will assume the #1 role. I don't think that means statistically but more where the WRs line up. Harvin is a slot guy and will be. They like him positioned there so they can also give him a few hand offs and can also run dome formations with him in the backfield. I suspect he will continue to line up in the spots he has in the past and be productive.

FWIW, nfl network had one of their correspondents at the MN TC practice today and as the players were leaving the field after the morning walk through, they snagged some of the players for an impromptu interview. First they interviewed Jared Allen, then Percy Harvin.

Harvin was VERY confident. When asked about his migraines, he said he was fine, doctors essentially cleared him and that he had not had any since last year when it was in the news and that he thinks perhaps he has outgrown them. When asked about his t-shirt that he was wearing (it looked like a Vikings logo meshed with a Superman logo) Harvin responded essentially with an "You should expect big things from me this year" type of response.

Maybe nfl network will replay it.

I don't understand why playing high school ball proves he doesn't get headaches from football collisions. Please explain.

Jebus, really that dense? If football caused his migraines he wouldn't have a) kept playing football or b) lived through a 6 month migraine each year.Maybe try reading it again.......slower. HTH
