I own him and I'd be willing to trade him just because I'm on the bubble (5-5) but in 5th place. Top 2 teams are way out in front then there's 6 teams battling for the final 4 spots with 2 games of each other.
I'd look at the 4 options, 1) If I trade him to another team on the bubble I hurt his chances to make the playoffs but increase his chances to win the championship if they make it (assuming ADP returns to form)
2) I trade to one of the 2 top teams and hope that he doesn't return to form.
3) I keep him, hoping that I make the playoffs and he returns to form.
4) I trade to one of the 4 teams out the race and give them a good chance to win the toilet bowl, doesn't hurt you too bad if ADP returns to form.
We don't know how long he's actually out for and how he'll be used, but he's shown that he can produce when his touches are limited. I dont' buy the whole, let him sit out the year, the season is over because of two reasons, if that was the case, why are players like S. Jackson, and T. Holt and Bulger still playing (they all have some form of nagging injury)? 2) There season isn't over. There is still 7 games remaining in the season and they are only 3 games out of a playoff berth, and the competition for the 2 NFC wildcards isn't exactly stiff.
That being said, I think ADP does come back and does play again this year, and depending on how they do in the games he misses they a) revert back to a 60-40 split between ADP and Taylor or b) return to ADP being the workhorse. (To those that think they won't because of the incentives I think ADP would figure it out that that's what they're doing and he might hold it against them when it comes to resign him, a major risk for your franchise player)
Ultimately, I would consider trading him but my asking price will still probably be too high (personally I'd be looking for a WR1).
