Yesterday, there were rumors that Manning would retire. Now, Adam Schefter says Manning will be the most decorated and high=profile free agent in NFL history. So, where will Manning be next year?

Redskins by a long shot.

Their owner has proved over and over again that he only cares about creating pre-season hype to sell season tickets. He could care less about how the season pays out. They sell out even when they suck so why push up the value mid season by winning? He doesn't make money when the tickets are resold.

THis could almost be a new poll daily. His value seems to be all over the place depending on if the last piece of information was good news or bad news.

I was wondering the same thing after hearing the talking heads this morning drooling over Manning like he was 100% healthy in his prime (which he's not). I suspect the part about him getting released soon is mostly accurate. I don't agree with the part that teams will be fighting for his services when he could be months away from being anything close to Peyton Manning as we've come to know him (if he can even get back to that level).

At this point, I think teams will do their due diligence and he will come across as a more decorated version of Chad Pennington. From everything I have read, Manning cannot get any zip on his passes and simply going through extensive rehab may not get him better arm stength. He needs to regenerate the tissue to build up his arm strength, and I am not sure throwing 500 passes a day is helping that healing process (I would guess it actually could be hurting him, but I'm not a doctor so I could be WAY off base).

He might get more nibbles if he wanted really low dollars, but I am not sure Manning would play for peanuts.
