Pharmacy - Best Option (1 Viewer)

We have had our family prescriptions at Meijer for a very long time. It was nearby, where we do a bulk of our grocery shopping, got rewards and the app was convenient.

A but ago they cut the rewards you got from the prescriptions in half. Ok... whatever, sucks but not a big deal. Then recently they got rid of their app. I am flabbergasted. In the year 2025 who stops having an app?!

I am not worried about cost (for now) as for at least through the next year we will meet tour family deductible and not pay for any prescriptions we get.

So best options? Big drivers here are convenience and getting some sort of rewards or something of value back for filling them there.

What do you got?

We use Walmart pharmacy locally because believe it or not, they're sticklers for talking to patients about possible side effects, etc. And they contact you about prescriptions running out like a week ahead of time, ask if you want to call the doc yourself or you want them to call, and let you know immediately when your prescription is ready. Kinda shocks me, actually. I expected terrible service there.

My wife takes a couple prescriptions that for some reason Humana doesn't want to cover UNLESS you order it from their own pharmacy (CentreWell). Then they're dirt cheap.

We use the Walmart near us. The pharmacist is awesome. She actually cares.

What rewards do you get? This confuses me. I guess I’m lucky, in that none of my meds cost much.

We use a combination of mail, Costco and Giant.

As far as discounts go- I have Cadillac insurance, but they will only give me 6 RHINO30000XL pills a month. However if I use a free GoodRX coupon I get the full 30 pills for roughly 15 bucks.

I get my dog’s Galliprant at Costco for 1/2 what my vet charges me.
