Philadelphia at Detroit (1 Viewer)

Eagles had no business losing this game. Came out flat and got behind early. Wentz had ZERO pressure on him all game. Stafford was running around like a chicken with his head cut off and could only seem to find his RB's out of the backfield. Say what you will about a discrepancy in penalties, but the Eagles earned plenty of them and did the bare minimum to stay in it. Too many drops and foolish mistakes/penalties. Then their vet RB Matthews made a rookie like mistake and fumbled to give the game away rather than protecting the ball. Eagles lost this game after that defense woke up and came out to shut Detroit down in the second half. Ugly loss, but nobody but Matthews ego got hurt so lick our wounds and press on!

Felt like looking in the mirror a little today. We're usually always on the wrong end of ones like this, and the team racking up all the needless penalties instead of it being the opposition. Unusually, the marginal game winning call went our way.

I will admit to enjoying every penalty that Jim Schwartz's D incurred.

Didnt enjoy our offence totally collapsing for most of the 2nd half.

Our D has some nice pieces in it, but lacks depth. Until the likes of Ansah, Levy et al are fit ( if ever ) we are a bad team and will only win games by the strength of our O, and usually by scraping by like this.

Philly fans - was most impressed with Wentz today. Think you've got a gem there, a couple of additions to your team and it will go places

Thought that too and it was 3rd and 10 that turned into 3rd a d 15.
My bad, maybe that 2nd and 4 was in the first half?  In any event, I really think that the timeouts at the end of the game are almost always more valuable.  Haven't figured out how to quantify that though.
