Stadium Holiday Inn is a block away, but that's the only thing it's close to.
Make sure to take the tunnel that runs from the Holiday Inn to the stadium.
Yea...I had no idea area around stadium sucked. I'll stay in center city and take public transit. How horrible of an experience is this going to be for an oppossing teams fan? In my limited exp. philly fans are the absolute worst I've met. BUT that might not be the case in their home territory. Thoughts?
I'm a partial Phillies season ticket holder (I'm a Yankees fan) and I have a real love/hate relationship with Phillies fans. For the most part, their core fan base is great. But those are the people who lived through the Rico Brogna, Robert Person, Andy Ashby, Kevin Stocker salad days. Those people are great to talk to; particularly about the Phils. With them winning though...I'm seeing more and more jabronis up there that would be more at home at the 700 level of an Eagles game. Tickets are expensive enough that you're really keeping alot of the real trouble makers out (back in the day you could get Phillies tickets in packages of hot dogs)....but when some of these guys get enough liquid courage in them....they tend to spout off....especially if they are losing. I've been to 16 ballparks around the country...and their worst is no worse than any other. They do seem to have more of them though.
