David Price, 10-3, 2.45 ERA

Clay Buchholz, 10-4, 2.47 ERA

Phil Hughes, 10-1, 3.17 ERA

Some notables...

Buchholz threw a no-no in his rookie season

Hughes sporting a very nice >3 SO/BB ratio at the moment (Lee at 16.75 )

Price has had a Quality Start ~80% of the time this season

Hughes is 23, Price 24, and Buchholz 25 years old

Ya, I realized anyone in their right mind would so I left him off. I chose these guys since they are high recognition guys, and their records / ERAs make them a fun comparison

Fairly comparable talent but Price is LH, that gives him a nice advantage IMO.

I'd take Lester over all of them.

Ricky Romero could be in the discussion as well. Not that I'd take either Jays starter in this poll, even as a homer, (I'd take Price), it just shows how much ridiculous young pitching talent there is in the AL East right now.

Went with Price easily over the other two. I'd also consider taking him over Lester if I'm looking to build long-term and not just for the next year or two.

Only if he gets to pitch every game at home. His splits are staggering.This is a tough question. Gonna need more time to think on it.

My first thought too, but Tampa may move Crawford. Regardless, there is less money there and the team may go the way of the '97 Marlins for all we know (total fire sale). Price most likely would remain, but if I had to chose one (between Price and Hughes), I go where the money is.

The Rays roster, minus CC and Pena, is set up to stay in tact pretty affordable over the next 4 years or so. Longoria is signed thru 2016. And their minor league roster is stocked.
