Pick One (1 Viewer)

12 Team - PPR League (1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex)....  My keepers were awful and I'm keeping Gurley and Hyde.  I have the 2nd pick in the draft, and since I'm keeping 2 RB's, I'd like to go after WR with my first pick... who would you take?

DeAndre Hopkins, Brandin Cooks, Doug Baldwin, Rob Gronkowski.  The top RB's available are Ajayi and Jordan Howard and I'd say Fournette.

Out of the players mentioned I would go with Howard.  With the RB's you have you will need depth and you can play 3 RB's with the flex spot.  I think Howard is the best of the group listed.  If you really don't want a RB in that spot then I would rank them:

  1. Gronk - difference maker
  2. Cooks - highest upside
  3. Hopkins/Baldwin - Flip a coin.  I think Hopkins is the bigger risk but Baldwin is actually very inconsistent if you look at game by game numbers.  Huge games but bad games too.

Thanks for the input... I'm not 100% against taking another RB since there is a Flex spot, that may be my best option.   I really would like to take Gronk, I've never had him in any league that I've been in.  So I am leaning towards him at this point.

I'd take Gronk. He's the best player, and at a position of need.

No way I'd take any of those WRs, they simply aren't as good of players. If Gronk is gone, I'd go Ajayi.

I am torn between Ajayi, Howard or Gronk.  Don't take one of those WRs there......no value, you can probably get the same type of WR with your next pick.

You're already behind the 8-ball with 2 questionable keepers (well, Gurley is a late 2nd round pick in most cases in a 12 teamer).....so you might as well go for the player with the most upside.....and that's Gronk.  So I lean towards Gronk, but Howard or Ajayi are definitely options....and it's likely that one will be gone with pick #1.

Thanks again for the input.. and I do agree with all of your opinions.  I think it's my best bet to target Gronk or one of the RB's.

There's no doubt I'm behind the 8-ball with my keepers and going for the most upside is important.  Also to note, I have the 2nd pick, but I know the 1st pick will be AJ Green.  So all the players I have mentioned will be available.
