Pick the best RBs from the last 3 drafts (1 Viewer)

Wanted to see who people thought are the best 5 RBs from each of the last 3 drafts. Best should be a split of about 70% what they've done so far and 30% projected future value. PPR dynasty leagues. Thanks!

It's very interesting how many folks left Slaton off of their 2008 list. Not sure if that's a big knock on Slaton, or just a huge indicator of how incredibly special the 08 class seems to be at this early stage.

Either way...I can't see how he's left off those lists.

Agreed. He had a slightly better season than Chris Johnson (under damn near identical circumstances), who is generally right at the top of the list. Go figure.I've argued in many a thread than either CJ is overrated or Slaton is underrated or both. It is very difficult to justify the huge difference in rankings based on the one season we have to look at.

I don't think that's correct, the stats may be similar but the situations were very different. CJ was the entire offense for the Titans and there's no real debating it. If he's not on the team they might be .500 but instead they were the top team in the AFC. CJ had at least 10 td's vultured by White throughout the season and Slaton got almost all goal line situations due to a lack of options (which may change this year). Slaton had the benefit of a very good passing offense, a lack of other options and a balanced attack so he wasn't facing 8-9 in the box that Johnson was on a weekly basis. He also didn't have a target on his head like Johnson did on a weekly basis. Teams weren't looking to figure out how to stop Slaton, they were trying to figure out how to contain Andre Johnson which gave Slaton more time and space (something Johnson never had). If the situations were reversed and Chris Johnson were on the Texans and Slaton were on the Titans, Chris Johnson probably would have been the #1 back in the league. Just my opinion.

2006 DeAngelo Williams Memphis - Had his coming out party in 2008

2006 Joseph Addai LSU - Had an off year, but he has been too good prior to not make the list

2006 Laurence Maroney Minnesota- Thought about LenWhale, but I still think we haven't seen the last of Marony

2006 Maurice Drew UCLA - Looks to be steady and consistant year to year. Should make more noise without Taylor in the mix

2006 Reggie Bush USC - Just a solid weapon to have. Hasn't lived up to the hype but still one of the tops in this class

2007 Adrian Peterson Oklahoma - no explaination needed

2007 Ahmad Bradshaw Marshall - larger role minus Ward. I love how tough he is and Jacobs is prone to injury

2007 Kolby Smith Louisville- Not flashy, but I have liked him in his limited time.

2007 Marshawn Lynch Cal - All the talent in the world but apparently not much between the ears

2007 Michael Bush Louisville- I like him to be the thunder to McFadden's ligtning.

2008 Chris Johnson East Carolina showed a ton last year. Year in and year out, Johnson should thrive with TEN

2008 Felix Jones Arkansas I like his situation with the Cowboys.

2008 Jonathan Stewart Oregon Stewart was on the bubble for me just because this class was so strong.

2008 Matt Forte Tulane I may actually like Forte the best. Very complete back. Just not as flashy as the rest.

2008 Steve Slaton West Virginia Another complete back who flourised with the opportunity. Will probably receive a compliment back soon.
