If the...

Patriots

Colts

Ravens

Chargers

...are back in the playoffs, either as a division champ or wildcard, who do you pick to be the other two '07 playoff teams in the AFC?

JETS

DOLPHINS

BILLS

STEELERS

BENGALS

BROWNS

TITANS

JAGUARS

TEXANS

CHIEFS

BRONCOS

RAIDERS

Bengals

Broncos

Both were essentially in last year, except the final games disasters

Steelers and Broncos - either or both could actually win their divisions outright.
Its not but two(?) years ago that these two teams where in the AFC championship gameIll add another vote for these two teams :lmao:

Interesting that in the past 4 years, only 4 teams have been in the AFC Championship game.

2003 - Patriots (1), Colts (1)

2004 - Patriots (2), Steelers (1)

2005 - Steelers (2), Broncos (1)

2006 - Colts (2), Patriots (3)

"Past performance is not reflective of future performance", but the Steelers and Broncos certainly aren't bad bets here.

For the record, the NFC has 7 teams in the past 4 years.

2003 - Panthers (1), Eagles (1)

2004 - Eagles (2), Falcons (1)

2005 - Seahawks (1), Panthers (1)

2006 - Bears (1), Saints (1)

from your list: Bengals and Broncos.

But I'll also include the Jags (no Ravens).

Division Champs:

Patriots

Bengals

Colts

Chargers

Wild Cards:

Broncos

This is a very good posting, except that I'd actually put the Texans ahead of the Bengals and certainly ahead of the Chiefs. :lmao:FWIW, the Texans are my "sleeper" team this year. They might just sneak into the playoffs :kicksrock:

While they are getting better there isnt a chance they make the playoffs. They still are not better than anyone in their division yet.. Titans Colts Jags are much better still. The Titans have an outside shot at it but not the Texans

Wow alot of people are on the Broncos... I wouldn't put my money on a 2nd year quarterback to get them to the playoffs. Henry has to show he can stay healty and someone has to step up as a 2WR.

Bengles - Best offense behind Indy

Steelers - Big Ben's a wild card and new couch

Jets are close.

No way a single division sends 3 teams to the playoffs. The AFC West demonstrated what happens when you have three awesome teams in one division in 2005- they beat each other up and soon you have a team or two that are the "best team to ever not make the playoffs".Also, since when do second year QBs have trouble making the playoffs? Peyton Manning, Eli Manning, Phillip Rivers, Carson Palmer, Ben Roethlisberger, Donovan McNabb, Michael Vick, Tony Romo... almost every QB in the league who has ever made the playoffs has made it by his second season as a starter.Edit: Tom Brady, Chad Pennington, Daunte Culpepper, Brett Favre, Marc Bulger, Kurt Warner, Aaron Brooks, Jake Delhomme, Kerry Collins...

I'd like to completely share your view on the Titans, and I agree that they have an outside chance. But, so do the Texans. I see the offense doing pretty well if Ahman Green stays healthy and the defense will be greatly improved (IMO). The AFC South could be the best division this year.

I cant do it with the Ravens, because they are not making the playoffs this year.

Say the Steelers win that division. My wildcards would be Denver and Cincy

I believe it's the Steelers & Broncoes.

I don't see any other team getting there. Cincy'ss defense iss their liability. Jax, I'm just not a believer. Jets, they overachieved last year, O-Line & Revis signing late will really hurt them.

I could see Pitt topping Baltimore for the AFC North title but both will make the playoffs.

I think this year is very cut and dry in the AFC, NE, Balt, Pitt, INDY, SD & Denver. I'd be suprised if any of those six don't make it, extremely suprised if two of the six aren't there in January.
