10 team league

1 ppr

standard scoring

start:

3wrs

3rbs

1rb/wr

1te

1qb

I am taking mjd or AP 1st

my question is what should I do in rounds 2 and 3

I am thinking of grabbing 2 of these wrs if they are there

AJ

Moss

Wayne

Megatron

Fitz

Roddy

Austin

Marshall

Most of these guys will probably taking before me.

Should I double up on these wrs??

Then I would have a great #1 RB and 2 great wrs.

I am not taking a qb with either of my 2 picks.

Should I take charles if he is there??

Thoughts?????

Being that aren't picking for awhile, just wait and see who's there. It makes no sense saying, "I have to take a RB or QB or WR." You never know who will fall. Take the best player available.

Personally, I'd eye up one of the top QB's with the first pick and then maybe go WR in the 3rd (assuming they are solid players instead of reaching).

Relax......we'll respond. Sometimes it takes a little time.

Your spot is easy in a 10 teamer. You take ADP in the 1st, then I would go the best RB or WR at rounds 2 and 3, preferably a RB and a WR. Since you have to start 3RBs, I like having 2 good RBs and a top 10 WR to start.

I wouldn't take a QB until round 8-9 in this format.

Lineup and scoring rules aren't the same as yours, but I drafted at 2 in a 10-team "competitive" Yahoo league the other night. Not sure how useful this info actually is for you, but I guess it's something...

Here is what I ended up with:

1.02 Peterson

2.09 Fitz

3.02 Romo

4.09 Wells

5.02 Nicks

6.09 Finley

7.02 Best

8.09 Moss

9.02 Maclin

10.09 Philly D

11.02 Crosby

12.09 Foster

13.02 Britt

14.09 McCluster (has WR/RB eligibility in Yahoo so a little extra value)

15.02 TBB Mike Williams

The entire draft is here:

To add some general strategy ideas, in a 10-teamer (unless rosters are huge) depth is overrated as there should always be servicable bye/injury fill-ins on the waiver wire. You are best off optimizing your every-week starting lineup, and taking every chance to gain positional advantages over your competition.

I think that, as long as value is there, going RB/WR/WR is a fine way to start but don't get too enthralled what any one philosophy. Let the draft come to you and within the framework of building the best starters that you can, be open to whatever value falls to your picks.

12 team non ppr

Peterson

White

Coltson

V. Davis

Nicks

Foster

M. Bush

Bradshaw

Mcnabb

CJ Spiller

Gaffney

Big Ben

Devin Thomas

K

Cowboys

you can load up on quality rb3 and fill other needs.

This. And to the OP - the top 3-5 WRs on your list wont (shouldn't) be there in a PPR format. But I like a team that starts out looking like this:RB:ADPAddai/Matthews/GrantWR:R. White
