Pickin' Some Kickin'Posted 8/20 by Jeff Pasquino, Exclusive to Footballguys.comThink about the Arizona Cardinals in 2005 - Neil Rackers lit up the scoreboard that year. Why? Edgerrin James couldn't gain 3 feet, let alone 3 yards on most carries. Forget about a rushing touchdown. Field goals a-plenty for Mr. Rackers thanks to that issue.
Come on now, seriously! :lmao:  :lmao: :lmao:

It was disappointing that the article didnt back up any of its statements with data. It was basically sloppy common sense points that were probably written out on a bar napkin in between the 7th and 8th beers.

Kickers do well in a dome? Kickers do well with bad RBs? Rookie kickers do bad? Then go do some work and show me the data.

...or maybe I have become spoiled by the great writing I used to read on this site.

I think you're missing his point. The answer is in the thread.

No - change the thread name to "What year did Edgerrin James sign with the friggin' Cards?"Kinda like tuning into CNN and hearing about how George W. Bush really botched that Iraq War back in 1999.

The issues are not grammar related.

Well, maybe it's nitpickin, but it's not too much to expect the author to know whether James was actually on the team when he attributes Rackers' performance to his presence.

Uhhh no, it's not. This is Fantasy Football-not life.Maybe it was an oversight? A typo? Both are possible but either way what does it friggin' matter? It's a short blurb about the Cardinals kicker. Is it gonna make or break everyone's draft? Cost you your league?? These guys at FBG write a bunch of articles and mistakes are going to happen. I catch errors in national newspapers all the time and those companies staff highly paid editors. Asinine.

Again...lighten up

Thanks to Clayton and several FBGs for pointing out the error. I should have double-checked that.As for the article, it is written for those who aren't going to spend hours researching kicking. If you want to do that, consider reading Mike Herman's masterpiece from 2006, Kickerology.

By the way, Kickers in a Dome is in Section 19.
