Pierre Garcon (1 Viewer)

He played well tonight. I didn't get to see much of the game but I'll take his points.
he caught EVERYTHING tonite, looked great!!! make great after the catch yardage especially on his last grab.huge boost for him... manning is gonna gain a lot of confidence back in him... great for the fantasy playoffs!

Pierre's been money the past two games. He's back to being a solid WR2. With the Colts having to win out he could be a huge fantasy producer the rest of the way.

It's a little weird though-- like last week- where he was dominating and Manning just ignored him for the 2nd half... This game- Pierre looked like he could catch the ball at will against his defender- yet Manning just went to him sporadically.. He wasn't locking in on anybody pass after pass like he has been, but he also seemed to ignore the obvious mismatch at times.. Garcon had a great game, but could have had a huge game. As it is, much of his yardage was selfcreated after the catch.

Pierre looked great tonight (and last weekend) which has to be great as for Manning trusting him again. Last weekend he caught all 8 of his targets, and tonight he caught everything catchable and gained a lot of yards after each catch. Im sure everyone who started him is happy with his 6/93/2, but like fatpants said above me he really could have had a HUGE night if Manning just went to him more often.

If you weren't feeling comfortable with him as your #3 these last few weeks, I think you will be happy with him during these final important weeks. Indy has another great matchup next weekend against Jacksonville, and if Nnamdi stays on Wayne week 16 he should be useable there as well. The Colts have to win these last three weeks and their only chance is by letting Peyton throw it all day.

If you are still playing in week 16, Garcon has a sweet matchup with the Raiders in my estimation.

Nnamdi usually does not shadow the opposition's best WR, even though there was talk of that at the beginning of the season. But if he does, it would clearly be Reggie he tries to take away. However, when Scrabble stays on one side of the field, it's at right CB. Reggie always lines up on the left side. So even if the Raiders don't "assign" Nnamdi to Wayne, he'll be on him all day anyway based on where each player naturally lines up. Garcon should have a huge day on the other side.

;) Saw this after I wrote my post. It sets up nicely for sure. Just gotta GET to week 16!

Um that's what I was thinking. Thanks for your post but how much do you like him this week. I heard Collie may return? Is he top 15-20 this week?

Put it this way. I have three WR for two spots. Garcon, Sidney Rice and Vincent Jackson.Garcon was the slam dunk. I have to choose between the other two. I feel good about the way PW is performing right now.

Collie returning this week would definitely temper my enthusiasm for Garcon, but either way I think he's earned must-start status this week after a streak of a couple solid games and considering the matchup.

I was wondering why he is ranked so stinkin low this week. 51! but I guess if they think he won't get as much attention since collie will be back. that could explain it.

Seems to me that Blair white was getting plenty of attention when he was in and Garcon was still producing. Plus if you watched the post game interview Manning was gushing over Garcon quite a bit.

I'm not optimistic about Garcon's statistical production this week. Jacksonville always plays the Colts the same way: ball control on offense to shorten the game, contain the deep pass on defense to keep the game close, and hope for a fortunate break to bring a win. This game plan produces fewer offensive possessions for the Colts, and fewer opportunities for the deep passes that give Garcon his better statistical outputs. For example, Garcon had pedestrian statistical outputs against the Jags in both games last year. While Jacksonville's secondary isn't very good, and Garcon is certainly capable of having a good day, I don't think the odds favor it. This is a day for Tamme and whoever starts at slot receiver.
