Wow I am a homer and I haven't heard this news? If true you dynasty guys better grab Ivory ASAP. He could be a beast next year with a healthy Bush. Meaning PT will not get the deal he wants from the Saints and will be playing elsewhere. But first things first, where is Mort getting this information and is it acurate?jay glazer on fox just said that pierre thomas is in the doghouse with payton and may be a healthy scratch when back with ivory the featured back, wow
Anyone know why? Is it because he won't play with pain?jay glazer on fox just said that pierre thomas is in the doghouse with payton and may be a healthy scratch when back with ivory the featured back, wow
I have no idea about the accuracy of this report, but Jay Glazer does not have a history of breaking BS stories. He's pretty conservative with his reports. For instance, Glazer had the Randy Moss story first, but sat on it for a day to wait for better confirmation. So, who knows if this is true about Payton and Thomas. I agree that it seems a little hard to believe (even though I'm an Ivory owner!). But if it's Glazer reporting this, there is at least some smoke. But maybe not fire. There is a thread about this on Saintsreport.com super forum. It seems the origin of this story is Jay Glazer and not Mort. There is also talk that the Doctors did not tell PT that the injury was 4-6 weeks and that PT has just not been playing. I dont believe that one bit. Not in a contract year. I think this is a bunch of nothing, a non story by insider guys trying to break a story on something that just isn't there. When PT is healthy there is no way he will be a scratch , not as long as the Saints are in the playoff hunt. You can quote me on that.
Feel bad for your coworkers, family and friends having to put up w/ unfunny jokes. Hack.I'd bump Finley up a little based on this news/rumour
I hope PT is still in the doghouse at year end. Pierre would be the perfect complement to Adrian Peterson in Minnesota. Just like Chester Taylor, he catches the ball well, breaks tackles, and doesn't fumble.ThePittbully said:I don't believe it, I do believe Ivory could split with Bush next year and Pierre could be gone though
If the Packers had a GM who believed in free agency I'd say Thomas would make an excellent fit as Green Bay's starter or co-starter with a healthy Grant.I hope PT is still in the doghouse at year end. After this week Peyton better call this B.S, Get Thomas back, and feed him the ball..
LMAO! YEA RIGHT! Ivory has had ONE good run. They signed JJ for a reason! They still use Betts on passing downs because Ivory blows in pass protection.ASA Pierre is healthy, he'll see the field! Mark it downThis reminds me of all the talk about GB trading for a RB....jay glazer on fox just said that pierre thomas is in the doghouse with payton and may be a healthy scratch when back with ivory the featured back, wow
eh its week 7 & its become extremely lameFinley owner/ex-owner? Please be excellent.Feel bad for your coworkers, family and friends having to put up w/ unfunny jokes. Hack.I'd bump Finley up a little based on this news/rumour
I'd bump you off the board if I could. You're lame. Period.Come back at me any way you want; I won't reply. I'll choose to believe strength is in numbers on this one at the Week 7-8 turn where JMF's been out two weeks now.I'd bump Finley up a little based on this news/rumour

Doesn't look like a change a RB is going to cure the Saints. Maybe PT can come back and play QB.In light of recent play, I'd expect PT and Bush back in the lineup as soon as they're healthy... Ivory will likely take on a role of refresher and/or short yardage back...
I know I wouldn't want to be relying on Pierre Thomas in the FF playoffs. If he has the sort of day Saints RBs have been having basically all year you could easily be toast.Payton said today that Thomas is doing much better and should practice next week. Is this a scoop and stash situation for the FF playoffs? I know he was dropped in a lot of leagues based on all of the message board chatter.
Ivory is sitting on my waivers in a 10 team league but I'm still having a hard time pulling the trigger. I just don't see them not running a multi-headed monster at RB once Bush gets back in the mix.
If you have the room its definately not going to hurt. It will interesting to see how this team plays after the bye, and the playoff schedule doesn't look all that great. Who knows though what can happen, so its worth stashing him if you can.Payton said today that Thomas is doing much better and should practice next week.
