In a 12 team HTH league with keepers. Both players on year 2 of a 3 year contract.

My OF: Guerrero, H. Matsui. Abreu (have Cameron, C. Hart, and Upton available as OF)

Rest of lineup:

C R. Martin

1B Laroche / Youkilis

2B K. Johnson

SS Lugo

3B Upton / Glaus

P J. Santana, Bonderman, Sheets, Lincecum, Carmona, Saito, Valverde are my pitchers (start 7...others not worth mentioning)

Do I take the hit in OF to upgrade my SP knowing Oswalt typically has better second halves and trade the red hot Abreu or stand pat?

I'd do it. Oswalt is awesome for WHIP, ERA and K's. You can afford the hit at OF, imo. Never can have too much pitching.

I like this deal too. Oswalt is a stud, and this would give you two of the top SP's in the gameGood job.

Disagree -- Oswalt is significantly better than Abeu. Make the trade and then flip Oswalt or Bonderman or Lincecum for someone better than Abreu.
