Pittsburgh at Baltimore (1 Viewer)

I'm going to start treaty Thursday night football as another bye week for my players.

I'm just not going to start them not matter who they are.

Seriously.

Seriously?

Baltimore D had a great game.

A. Brown had a good game.

Bell had a decent game. (100+ total yards and several catches)

S. Smith had a decent game.

Nobody used Daniels

Wheaton owners aren't dancing a jig, but they aren't pissed off either after 5/38 and 22 rushing.

Forsett had 72 yards and 4 catches.

No big nights, but lots a decent ones.

Bell has been out there at WR, maybe in the slot, a fair bit at the end.

Why wouldn't they activate Archer with so few WRs available? Seems like it would have been a perfect opportunity.

I am way too tired/lazy to look it up, but I believe we have enough Thursday night football under our belts to have statistically significant evidence that they the offense suffers with the short week.

Just got home...saw the last 2 minutes...Pierce looked like a beast the run I saw...did he look like that all game?

Waste of his talent in this offense.
The Andre Johnson role in Kubiak's offense? 100 catches? What a waste of a fantasy pick...

It's all Smiff & tight ends. Steve has a way of ingratiating himself with his QBs don't he.

He had some nice runs when the holes were large enough but he lacked vision and played a lot lighter than his 230lb frame would suggest all night. Later in the night, they gave up on him punching it in at the GL all together and decided to run two consecutive QB sneaks instead.

If they only got him a TD, he might have been a tradable commodity.

Damn you Harbaugh!!!

If I were a Pierce owner, I'd be shopping him to anyone who didn't watch the game tonight. Try and use the high volume as a selling point and take essentially any half decent offer you can find.

Both of these teams are awful.
You don't watch much Ravens/Steelers football, do you?
So you're saying that both teams are always this awful?
Sure but mostly I'm saying that my two eyes don't watch much of the same sport as the algae that hang around on this board.
Please stop, these 2 teams suck donkey @@@@ and that's being kind.
Sure guy. 1) This is professional football where very minuscule things separate the best from the worst 2) even the best of teams (i.e. The broncos v. Seahawks) can look terrible due to circumstances. Steelers lost all momentum and went offensive tone deaf after the Justin Brown fumble, one of Haley's terminal flaws and the Ravens are reeling from the Rice #### but certainly looked far more competent than the Steelers at this point. I would call neither of them bad teams but certainly boring to watch on TV.

22 rushes for 96 yards really aren't that bad. He should've had a TD though. Not sure why Harbaugh wanted Flacco to get injured with two straight QB sneak attempts from the one. That's just stupid however you want to dissect those plays.

Nope, divisional games have a greater impact ok lower scoring games than Thursday night games.

Pierce stinks. They want to use Forsett but he's sporting the backup QB vibe. Everyone thinks he's better until he plays more than one week.

Forsett is a COP back, he has a long history in the NFL, that's what he is.

Pierce may not be that good, but Forsett isn't all of a sudden going to be a bellow, that's just not who he is.

Yup. I started Bell, Pitta, BAL defense and Tucker. All but Pitta delivered. Sucks that half my roster is done already and it's barely Friday, but what the hey. I'm up by 57 and change.

Yep. Came to this conclusion about halfway through last season. But still started pitta over kelce :bag:

Yep.

Fact:

Divisional games produce less total points scored on average and this year that stat combines with the short-week syndrome factoid.

So potentially a double-whammy for Thurs starts this year given the number of divisional matchups.

Why oh Why did Ben / J. Brown give the ball up so much and rob Bell of the chance to punch one in with that sexy stutter step!
