I don't like gratuitous jacked-up hits, but the NFL has passed me by.
Lol.You hit a receiverinnear the head, you're gonna get a flag.
I stand by my earlier analysis.LOL@ Forsett looking better than Pierce crowd.
You hit a receiverinnear the head ANYWHERE, you're gonna get a flag.
Owning Daniels seems like the right play at the moment.Owning zero Ravens seems like the right play this year.
You hit a receiverinnear the head, you're gonna get a flag.
Youhit a receiver in near the head, you're gonnaget a flag.
Too true. You hit a receiverinnear the head ANYWHERE, you're gonna get a flag.
This is correct - if you freeze frame it, Troy definitely went helmet-to-helmet and Mitchell got him in the shoulder.First call was correct. This one is not
Yup and there is a decent chance this is still a one score game if not for that bs call. Just a joke....FWIW, Daniels was nearly upright and was definately hit in the head. Smith was ducking down and the defender went low, and led with a shoulder (not an elbow)to the chest.
The first was a good call, the second was a bad call.
And what is that? They both suck?I stand by my earlier analysis.LOL@ Forsett looking better than Pierce crowd.
How bout they let the players play ball. The call on the hit on Ben was bull #### early in the game and these "helmet to helmets" are bull #### late in the game.Edit to add: Steve Smith is 5'5 what is Mitchell supposed to do? Hines Ward would have popped Ed Cockuli by now.stop crying about the calls and play ball.
pretty much. but then ask Dustin Keller how that woprked out when his career was ended by a guy who didn't want to get finedSo if you're hitting a defenseless receiver, you just have to go to the waist or below, or you're getting flagged.
You mean just put flags on them and let's get on with it. Any fans of defense are sick these days.Put bubble wrap on the players and call it a day.
The frustrating part for me is that when a receiver ducks his head and lowers himself, the defender should get the benefit of the doubt on a close play. When he does not duck down, I have no problem giving the benefit of the doubt to the offense. Daniels didn't duck, Smith (a small guy to begin with) did. This is correct - if you freeze frame it, Troy definitely went helmet-to-helmet and Mitchell got him in the shoulder.First call was correct. This one is not
But the broader point is this is the way they're calling it from now on. So if you're hitting a defenseless receiver, you just have to go to the waist or below, or you're getting flagged.
Its the NFL making these stupid rules that the officials are enforcing.i feel like the nfl should be fining officials for making these calls. why do teams even field defences at this point?
Well it pays more than RB. So there's that.Like all the others who have posted...why would anyone want to be a defensive player in the league, as it stands now ?
Pitta saw 15 targets last week, Daniels saw 5. This is just good game planning by Kubiak, it's likely not a TEBC.It is looking like a true TEBC with Daniels. Pitta value is taking a big hit.
I ses you are an optimistYay, now we get to watch Pierce rip off 2 yards gains for the next 20 minutes.
You hit a receiver in near the head, you're gonna get a flag.
These rules are why Gronk's knee was shreded last year... none of the 3 personal foul calls should have been called. This is correct - if you freeze frame it, Troy definitely went helmet-to-helmet and Mitchell got him in the shoulder.First call was correct. This one is not
But the broader point is this is the way they're calling it from now on. So if you're hitting a defenseless receiver, you just have to go to the waist or below, or you're getting flagged.
maybe, but forsett sucks way less. pierce gets absolutely nothing but what is there (sometimes not even that). And what is that? They both suck?I stand by my earlier analysis.LOL@ Forsett looking better than Pierce crowd.
