Filed to ESPN: Free-agent WR Plaxico Burress is expected to go to Pittsburgh to meet with and take a physical for the Steelers. Need WR help

Agreed although I never understood why they didn't sign Jerrod Johnson or some other young QB to the practice squad. At least he would have been in QB meetings and be familiar with the playbook.

This has been the Steelers standard operating procedure for the past couple of years though it has typically been the offensive line that has been the most troublesome area. It was only 2 years ago that Ben was suspended, Leftwich named starter but got hurt, Dixon started then got hurt and the team turned to Charlie Batch for the next few games. This is Deja Vu all over again...
