There was a "study" done and it suprisingly revealed that, overall, CBS's rankings were some of the most accurate from last season. Can't find the link for the life of me though. Anyone?

Fantasy Football Librarian (Sara Holladay) did the work. Here's the NY Times NFL blog where she discussed it in January. Some time later she posted on her blog the details I think; you'd want to Google or Bing or whatever it to find that.http://fifthdown.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/01...he-2009-winner/

Caveat -- This doesn't necessarily mean that CBS is best going forward. It means they were best overall this one year. They have been pretty bad in some other years. Fantasy football prognostication is a highly inexact science.

That's the one - thanks Couch Potato...good work. Good point too about that simply being the case for 2009 and not to extrapolate too much from that.

Actually Sara (FFL) has been doing some sort of evaluation for four years now. CBS has been in the top 10 three of the four years in the overall ranking ('09 = #1, '07 = #6 & '06 = #2; plus in '08 ranked #2 in QB & TE (but not top 10 o/a)).

I'm using them to track the draft with myself.

Just for the record FBG were 11, 2 & 4 those same three years (& non-top 10 in '08 also).
