Player Spotlight: Jamal Lewis (1 Viewer)

I just don't see it this year with Jamal. Shaky O-line, questionable QB situation, and questionable ability to boot. He gets Cincinatti twice at least, he should run pretty well those weeks. Overall, I'm pretty down on him.

260 carries 847 yards 5 TDs

28 catches 195 yards

You do realize that they signed OG Steinbach and drafted LT Joe Thomas. Their OL is head and shoulders above what it has been in yrs past.295 carries 1210 yards 8 TDs

40 catches 320 yards 1 TD

Think Jamal is good value, at his draft area 6th-7th round, a starting RB, with little competition. Cleveland has improved it OL big time.

think

300 carries at 3.7ypc = 1110 yards and 7 tds

20 receptions at 7.5ypr = 150 yards and 1 td

not sexy #'s, but for a low end 2 or top 3rd back, good #'s, especially for a starting rb going so late.

The thing is you'll be hard-pressed to get him as a RB3 and I don't like him at all as RB2....sort of a tweener in that way...

His current ADP is RB28, so he should be available as a RB3 more often than not. I'm high on him this year but I'm with you. If he's my #2 RB I'd better have Manning or Palmer and some serious WRs

He went at pick 6.05 RB30 in a phenoms league I'm in. Its a flex league so you only have to start 1 RB. But that seems like pretty good value to me for a guy who is the unquestioned #1 on a team that should be able to run the ball atleast a little bit. I hope they continue to throw the ball to him like they did in the preseason game.

Seems to me he has dropped to a point where he can be had as a 'high end' RB3, and a very nice one IMO - classic no upside but low risk for modest production kinda guy. Nothing wrong w/that from RB3.

Watching Lewis last year, he looked tentative and old. Very old. I don't think Lewis has much gas left in the tank. One more year of wear and playing on a poor team = a player that will not justify his ADP. Lewis is now playing on a team with a lot less talent, and that doesn't bode well for his stats.
