Playoff WW KICKER to have is..... (1 Viewer)

Perhaps he is a borderline WW option but Barth looks like a top 3 play with Eagles Saints Rams on the schedule

I don't think Barth is widely available.

I'm sticking with Hanson, one guy probably on a lot of WW is Phil Dawson. Not historically prolific, but he's been money all year and that offense stalls often, resulting in a high number of 40 & 50 yard attempts.

Thought it was walsh. He has 6 pts over the last 3 weeks though. I'll try a new hot hand. Kickers are so unpredictable.

Going Legatron, just picked him up. No one I'd rather roll with here than a kicker on a team that could struggle offensively, plays in a dome, and has the potential to hit long kicks. Can't really evaluate much else, sign me up. Week 14 brutal in Buffalo, but home Week 15 and in TB Week 16.

Only thing that scares me is the potential for a 0-3 point week with him and that offense, getting a playoff win if he explodes is great but it would suck losing by a couple of points because your kicker doesn't deliver.

Well, just got one with Blair White who's been pretty good all year. Cost me a bye. So, going with the talent/potential. They're a crap shoot, so as long as I know the guy can boot it and doesn't miss a ton, I'm in.

Picked up Graham awhile go for his matchups at home in the dome against Indy and Minny. Even if they start pulling some starters I think that might help stall drives...although that could just be wishful thinking.

I guess FBGs is not a fan of his matchup this week at New England. I thought it would be pretty good with those two heavyweights going back and forth on MNF but maybe I was wrong. Weather does make me nervous.

I narrowed it down to Legatron, Vinatieri and Barth ...

Went with Barth due to sched (Philly, @ N.O., St. Louis), and consistency. He's hit double digits in my scoring format 9 out of 12 weeks, with a quite impressive 27 combined in the past 2 games.

I see him as the one to grab going into the playoffs ... 72% ownership in CBS leagues, so he is still somewhat out there for some to scoop

Dome kicker
Not many of these others available in mine. Looking at Saints kicker who finishes with 3 dome games in a row.
Caveat emptor on Hartley, the Saints are not a high volume FGA team ... Hartley has only 14 attempts in 12 games  , and has only hit double digits once (week 2 vs. Carolina). Just to compare, Barth has 28 FGA, and has made more (23) than Hartley has tried.Brees finishes drives, one way or the other ... Hartley just doesn't get enough chances for fg's ... extra points, sure, but he is one of the (if not THE) least used booters in the league.

I just traded in Prater for Tucker. Maybe I'm oversimplifying things, but I don't play too much into the dome/outside or matchups really. I want a guy that has the most opportunities. Tuckers been reliable all year. I was really high on Prater until he missed 1 FG a game over the past 3-4 games.

I have Tucker - weeks 15 & 16 he plays Denver and then the Giants - both in Baltimore. Yes, both weeks it could be 45 degrees, slightly overcast, but otherwise fine. But if a N'oreaster rips through in week 16, I don't want my kicker trying FG in 30 mph winds in a rain/snow mix - especially on weeks that mean money. We have to carry 2 kickers, so it's no big deal - I have Tucker and am adding Graham off WW as an alternative. In December, it's always a good idea to have a dome kicker as a backup plan. Many times it's not an issue...until the early snowstorm/blizzard/atmospheric river when it is.

Yep, I did the same. When the Tynes owner dropped him for his bye, I swooped in just to save for this week in case weather is an issue in NE.

Going to keep rolling old man Jason Hanson out there. Not a great matchup this week but he came through big time last week.

Graham is available but NE is giving up the 9th fewest points to Ks in our format so don't really see that as an upgrade. Prater has missed 5 of his last 11. Vinateri also available, along with Bironas, Dawson.

Kai Forbath is another one to consider - still perfect on FGs since the Redskins picked him up. Think he only has 1 50 yarder (his 1st kick) but I always liked him in college.

Odd that Graham is available in so many leagues. He's been a top 2-3 kicker in my league this year.

Then again, I picked up Matt Bryant in my league a few weeks back when someone dropped him. Even with the potential for sitting starters, I don't see any reason to go with anyone else at this time.

7th in mine, standard vanilla scoring (+1 over 40, +2 over 50). Better of late but about the time he got past his lame weeks the Texans were giving kicker tryouts. He has kickoff issues, but three touchbacks last week so no worries now.Used to be decent with Bengals, I think Houston was his 5th team in 3 years?

Rolled with Walsh all season in two leagues but ADP is running too well, opportunities not there.

Had space in both leagues so holding on Walsh and trotting out Lindell (vs. STL, SEA) and Dawson (KC, Wash) in Week 14 only.

I grabbed Barth a few weeks ago and he's been utterly consistent. Regardless of schedule, I'm rolling with him the rest of the way.

I'm looking for a guy in one league, with the playoffs starting this week. I rolled with Lindell last week based on Mike Herman's rankings. This week's two highest guys available are Walsh and Crosby, but I don't feel good about either of them. Walsh seems due...I just don't trust Crosby. Which way would you guys lean?

I kind of group Crosby & Prater together - should have been great pickups 4-6 weeks ago, but both have been inconsistent. Kickers are a crapshoot but I just don't see them getting the 15 or 18 pointer that makes up for off week from one of your skill position guys.

Walsh in domes from 14-17.

Prater got 15 last night.LOVE trying to figure out kickers.

Anyone rolling with Bailey? Not many options out there, and I'm done with Walsh. I figure the Cowboys have been scoring pretty well lately and got Murray back. Plus they play in a dome.

What are people's rankings for best playoff K's where you get FG yardage bonuses?

I'm liking Henery, Succop and Bailey for week 15.

I still need a kicker for my playoff game tomorrow. I just dropped Walsh cause since Harvin went down he hasnt done much. I been checking out the rankings on this site and various other ones and see people are warming up to Crosby. Why? My league you get penalized for misses.

I'm thinking Shaun Suisham. Big Ben gets them close enough for field goals but not touchdowns in his first week back.

Bironas in the dome is available in quite a number of leagues. Picked him up a couple of weeks ago with this (playoff) week in mind, but it looks like the weather is going to be tame in most parts of the country.

Bailey has scored 7+ points 8 weeks in a row. That is what I call consistency!

Ugh, and I just picked Walsh up. Now you got me rethinking. Crosby, Gould, Z, Henery, and Bironas are still options. I have zero confidence that I will pick the right one. Paging Mr. Herman please...

Bryant has been great for me. I'm sticking with him.

the angle I am playing is anybody vs oakland. I picked up clevelands kicker vs oakland last week but backed out when the weather scared me. That was a mistake. This week I started Prater who kicked 4 fgs and 2 extra points. Next week Succop ( who attempted 3 fgs vs oakland earlier in the year). Consider this: Oakland has given up an average of 2.8 fg attempts a game in the last 10 weeks. Throw out the NO game because they dont seem to kick field goals and the average goes up to 3.1 per week. Oaklands defense is terrible but seems to do pretty well in the red zone.

Yep, Barth is my first thought (although he should be rostered in leagues with active/smart owners).

I've been tracking Oak and Car match ups because of how they're allowing offenses to move on them but not score.

Josh Brown isn't a bad pickup for this week and maybe beyond. Big leg, good offense and coming off huge game in Week 14. Nugent didn't practice yesterday so he's probably out this week for sure.
