So sorry to hear of your loss BB. Continued thoughts and prayers.

I will be making a donation today to the local Children's Hospital in memory of Chance. I challenge the rest of the FBGs to do the same. Let's make some good come of this. American Cancer Society, Make a Wish, Children's Hospital.

We are so grateful to you as a collective fior generously sharing and being such an inspiration. We all go through periods of grief and loss; it is hard to imagine anything more devastating than a child preceding, and you handled it with uncanny grace.

You will pnever know how much Chance and this thread meant to me. I know I am not alone.

Bless you, BB. Bless your family. Rest easy, Chance.

Saying a prayer for your family as I type this. I feel like Chance's brother needs extra comforting, so will say an extra special prayer for him. Give him a big hug and let him know people are definitely thinking of him.

BB - I know you have a lot going through your mind right now, but I wanted to pass along a link to a group called Compassionate Friends. My brother died when we were teenagers, and I know how hard it was for my parents at the time - Compassionate Friends is a national support group specifically for families that lose a child - they have local chapters around the country. Its not for everyone - we all grieve differently, but I thought i'd pass the information to you for anyone in your family. My mom went to regular meetings for a couple of years, and still goes to one meeting a year now, 25 years later.

I'm glad he was able to smile in his final days, thanks to JJ Watt, some folks here and of course his family who were with him til the end. This thread is so gut wrenching. My condolences BB. All the best to you and your family.

 
Have been following this thread with a heavy heart. As the father of six young children, I am heartbroken for you. Best wishes to you and your family.

 
Just a quick suggestion for those of us considering making a donation. I'm sure Scott will have a charity in mind, so we might want to consider holding off until he can let us know.

 
You, and Chance, and your family have been in my thoughts and prayer since you started this thread, and you will all remain there for a long time to come. Nothing we say or do can lighten your load, BB, but please know there are so many here who care for you.

 
So sorry to hear the news... it's the love that you showed to Chance, and that total strangers have shown here, that really brings a lot of positive perspective to an all too cynical world.

May you and your family be strong knowing how happy you made Chance, and how happy he in turn, made you. And how you have all had such a positive effect on those of us here. Love you, BB. Wish we could do more.
