Please open a Can of Alpo tonight for Marty :( (1 Viewer)

snogger

As many of you know Marty has been battling something for the last month.. Today an ultrasound showed he had Cancer tumors throughout his chest area which was causing issues with him breathing.

So with VERY heavy hearts my wife, my daughter and I took him in this afternoon to send him on his way..

As is normal for me for my grieving I put together a 1 minute Video together for him.

Bye sweet Marty you will be missed

Really sorry to hear it snogger. I hope it doesn't take long for you to reach the day that most of the hurt has faded and your memories of him are a source of warmth for you. It'll happen eventually.

Sorry buddy. That is never easy. I am not looking forward to the day in the not to distant future when this happens to me.

condolences snogger. tough thing for sure.

no Alpo at our house, but i'll open a good bottle of wine in Marty's honor.

I put our English Bulldog "Butkus" down 15yrs ago and have never gotten another dog.

My wife and daughter are starting to pressure me again, but my daughter is moving to Nashville so my wife and I would be the only two here..... Just don't think I'm going to do it again.

And :thanks: all.. . he will be missed but remembered for all the joy he brought us for the 9 years he was part of our family.

I can't imagine not having a dog in our life.. we won't be getting any new ones soon as we still have our beagle to keep us loved for now.. but I feel that the day of pain and sadness when they pass is worth it as we rescue ours. so know in the end it is all worth the pain at the end. :)

Sorry, dude. That's rough (no pun intended). Me and my cat Boomer just gave a toast to the little guy.

Sorry to hear. Always a tough thing to do but you did the right thing and gave him a good life.

Sorry. Losing a dog is like losing a member of the family. My "Bo" is only 7 but I know we are at the halfway point or maybe a little over and dread knowing that.

Dude...this sucks - put my best canine friend down last April and while it was the correct thing to do I still miss Corky. Have had many dogs over the years, but he was incredible. His ashes and a photo of him are in a nice box along with his favorite toy on our mantle. One of a kind. Feel for you gb.

RIP Marty. :(

He looked like a good boy. A good good boy. Oh, what a good good boy. :(

Thanks again all.. Had a "moment" this morning where I came out of the bathroom, saw my daughters backpack out of the corner of my eye and for half a second thought it was him coming around the corner as he normally did.. :(

Beagle is a little confused right now.. at times he runs around looking for Marty, at other times seems like he is the King now and loving all the extra attention :)
