This is a tough one. I can see both sides of the argument. I am in the camp that it's every player's responsibility to protect their cards and not give away information, and if my opponent is sloppy and keeps inadvertently showing his hand to me, I will take advantage ot it.
That said, I would try to tell my opponent indirectly. I would maybe say something like....."I was pretty sure that you had a hand like AQ (when he actually has AQ and thought that you would only call a 1/2 pot bet", or "I had you pegged on QJ and thought that you would fold to my bluff"........ a player with a lick of common sense would figure out that I can see his cards.
If it were a home game with friends, I would just tell him directly.
If the guy in a casino is a jerk, well, then I don't care if I keep taking his money and won't say anything.
If other players are paying close enough attention, it's isn't tough to see when there could be a situation when an opponent could be loose when looking it is cards. Good players keep their cards in front of them and cover them with both hands when looking. If a player picks up his cards and holds them in front of him, I would probably speak up and mention that it's possible that his neighbors could see his hand.
