SJW Protesters steal fisherman's catch (intended for dinner) and throws it back into lake, ranting about how it's painful to the fish and murdering a creature...

...Then gets confrontational screaming "it's not food it's violence"

This - I'm not sure what's gained by confronting them.  If I actually felt threatened or afraid for my safety I would call the cops.  This is assuming it's legal to fish where the person was and they were not trespassing.  Life is too short to engage idiots or potentially get hurt or killed because I'm engaging said idiot.

I vote for whatever the middle ground is between not caring and assaulting them.  Personally, I'd probably try to engage them in an intelligent conversation and get them to see that I'm not a monster and they're the idiot.  But, in the event that doesn't work, I probably call the police or park ranger on them. 

 
Just watched the videos.  In my jurisdiction they'd easily be arrested for disorderly conduct.  I'd probably advise them of such and see what they did.  Then, I'd probably make an in-the-moment decision to find another spot or call the police. 

 
Back in the day that dude would have gone in the water.

Today, I would probly ignore them as much as possible while trying to catch another fish so I could smack it's head off the railing and put it in my cooler while they watched

 
the mistake these guys made was letting the fish flop around like that. IDK why if they were fishing that they didn't have the bucket close by, but if i was them, I would have taken the fish and cut its head off right there and tossed it in the bucket. Let them fall and cry on the ground for all i care. 

 
It's strange that we're at a point where a group feels justified in physically engaging you without repurcussions... and the degree of outrage when you respond even remotely in kind, is absurd. 

 
Seems odd they would just have it flopping on the pathway like that.  Fish is probably going to die anyways.
