Popular Candy You've Never Tried (1 Viewer)

I see a lot of commercials for PayDay bars on TV. While I like peanuts, I can't say that I've ever tried this candy bar.

What popular candy (whether it be a bar or otherwise) have you never tried?

I wouldn't say they are popular because I would imagine they are terrible but they are well known..........Almond Joy & Mounds.

I mean who wants coconut in a candy bar?

I dreaded getting those on Halloween, and we sure as heck always got them. As I got older I didn't mind them, but when I was a kid? Ugh.

Heath bar
I've had them as an ice cream topping or mix-in, but never on their own.

Same with Payday for that matter.

And it's not intentional...just don't think I ever got one on Halloween, saw any in offices where candy was available, etc.

Really? I loved them. Even better are Bounty Bars from the UK. Milk chocolate with the coconut and no almonds. I would have been thrilled to get them.

Skittles are just nasty.

Love Heath Bars. I've got some right here by my desk.

You've got this all twisted. Topsy-turvy and ***-backwards.

Skittles are manna from heaven for the sugar craver in all of us; coconut is for those us who like cod liver oil and other such similar delights.

I don't think I've ever had Skittles
This is only the third post, but I'm pretty sure you're going to win this thread. How can you go through life without trying Skittles?
They didn't exist when I was a kid. I got to try one about three years ago. I was really curious, given how popular they are, but they're just unflavoured sugar. Ick. For that, I can eat a Pixie Stick.
So you have tried them?

Um.... yes.

I can't remember ever trying a Mounds. I like coconut flavored things - heck yes Pina Coladas! But the texture of coconut throws me off . So I have avoided Mounds.

Also, never had a Charleston Chew.

I'm not sure there isn't any candy that I haven't at least tried... I'm a sucker for candy.....

Chocolate covered payday are the new "it" factor
This is kinda me, I have a terrible sweet tooth and the cavities to prove it. I'm not a big fan of candies that contain nuts but any port in a storm when it's all there is. Love Milky Way, hate Snickers.

You know how some people have an enzyme that makes cilantro taste like soap? Or something like that?

I think toffee is cilantro, of the sweets world.

The reason why Almond Joy and Mounds suck is not because coconut and chocolate are terrible together. It's because both of things are much better with OTHER things. Coconut is better with fruit, and chocolate is better with like 30 other things.

Never had Skor. In what way are they better? A nice new snack might be good.

Better toffee. More flavorful imo.

I just looked up various lists, and I can't seem to find anything I haven't tried. I also seem to like them all (to various degrees). I used to pass on the Mounds/AJs on Halloween, but I even like those now. Pretty much the only less popular candies I don't like are black licorice and the boxed chocolates with weird fruity fillings.

And PayDays are damn good, especially for a non-chocolate candy bar.

As far as the topic, I can’t think of a base candy bar I’ve never tried. There’s so many variants out there now I’m sure I’ve never tried a strawberry milkshake Kit Kat or whatever abomination they put out there, but as far as the classics I’ve probably tried them all

Also not a huge candy guy, will pig out on the kids Halloween candy but don’t eat too much otherwise, although we did get a giant bag of some sort of chocolate covered coconut almonds from Costco. Think of an almond joy but with much less coconut. They’re delicious

When we tasted them, it was kind of like the Heath was sweeter, but the Skor was almost toasted-tasting, a deeper flavor. Heath = Pepsi, Skor = Coke, maybe?

These always go from the kids buckets to my bag. These are among my favorite candy.
