Saw this on the Network last few days.

Portis is hilarious.

Whenever a guy does this, it occurs to you how rare it is to see players having fun like him. I think players just mistrust the media so much, they always keep them at arms length.

Well, either that, or maybe the rest of them are just boring.

I got to the second character and shut it off. That is stupid. Really, really stupid. Oh, and he is not funny. At all. :excited: Sorry, I just don't get it... though I suspect that there really isn't a lot there to get.

I agree. I couldn't even watch that on ultra fast forward. When he dresses up and does these characters it makes me wonder what the #### is wrong with him. Did his mother drop him on his head?

while that clip was not funny to me, Portis IS hilarious. Get on you tube, you'll find all kinds of REALLY funny stuff. That whole bit was thought up by NFL Network, and yes, it was stupid. Portis hasn't dressed up in 2 years. I seriously doubt he asked and wanted to do it. But he's a good sport and just played along.

Dress up is something I expect a second grade girl to do for fun, not a NFL RB.

Different strokes for different folks I guess

The point here is that Portis has a sense of humor and can laugh at himself. He dresses up to act a fool. Why people have to take issue is beyond me. Let the man have some fun.

That clip was stupid, but as others have said, catch his original antics on youtube.

Definately not as funny as the originals, dolemite jenkins, sheriff gonna getcha, coach janky spanky and of course southeast jerome, but CP is one wacky dude.

Bud Fox, ultimate fighter, what is your favorite move? "Crackin fingers"

I'm a 'Skins fan who doesn't particularly enjoy watching the characters and their antics. OTOH, I definitely appreciate Portis' sense of humor after some initial apprehension. These are ways for Portis to have fun, but he doesn't do it to ridicule others. It's completely harmless, and it's refreshing that the guy has genuine fun.

I've said to my father that Portis is unique because he's basically a jazz musician stuck in a RB's body.

And anyone who thinks that he's just a clown who doesn't take the game seriously based upon his characters, just watch this. No RB in the NFL does that better.

I liked the "crackin fingers" part too, but I loved how he actually had an eyepatch on under the mask.

No but I believe he took her to prom?!?The original stuff is funny but this was a little forced.

Portis keeps the locker room loose, better than anyone else on the team does except perhaps Cooley. And when it's time to play he doesn't leave much on the field. Great guy to have on a team.

While that one on Quarles - in a playoff game, no less - was awesome, my favorite is one from 2006 IIRC (not on that video) when he threw no less than three blocks for Santana Moss on one play, each time blocking, getting back up, and sprinting downfield ahead of the play to throw another one. I'll see if I can find the video for that one. It was incredible effort.

Eisen: What's your weight class ?

Portis: 115

Eisen: But, how much do YOU weigh ?

Portis: 220, so what ?

I love it !!

Portis freaking RUUUUULES !!

.

Against Jacksonville? I recall that play CP was ridiculous. Hail.

Like a bigger, badder Walter Payton.
