Post a picture of your first car (1 Viewer)

1969 Mustang

This car is identical to mine. Family bought it in 1974 (it was white then) when I was 5 years old for my mom to drive us all to school. It mostly just sat in the garage though. My parents gave it to me when I turned 15 and I pretty much poured every dime I earned into that car.

Screaming fast car with a built 351w. It was pretty close to show quality at one point.

44 years later it is still in my garage, but I have neglected it and it is not running right now. I have plans for it to be my retirement project here in five years or so.
You are nearly me, but I have you by a year.

1968 Royal Maroon, Black Vinyl top. This is close to what it looked like, after I was done fixing it up. Didn't have the white highlights. It had started with a paint job close to this (but not nearly as nice).  I, too, still have it. Sitting in my garage waiting for "someday". These things are always a time/money problem. Back then I had the time to put into it, but the money was brutal. I have the money now, but the time is non-existent. Someday I'd like to put it all back together again and take her for a spin.

Family had/has a long history with Mustangs of that era. My mom is getting her '67 put back together now. That will be fun once its back.

   loser blue, I knew what that was gonna be before I even clicked.

My dad bought this exact same piece of crap a few years ago to schlep himself around in a few times a week
I loved this car.  Never changed the oil and it got like 40 mpg.  Drove it everywhere.  It was a 5 speed so naturally I killed the clutch early on.

1978 Chrysler Lebaron

Looked just like that picture except it was light blue. Whitewall tires and everything.

I got it from my parents in 1997 as a senior in high school. I hated it when they gave it to me (ah, teen expectations). But learned to appreciate it. It was a beast. And it was 19 years old but only had 42,000 original miles on it. Pristine. Some old lady literally drove it back and forth to the grocery store and church. Ran like a dream. Drove it 10 hours to Mississippi in college for a summer internship.

Had it for 4 or 5 years and the only thing I did to it was oil, tune ups, and replaced the starter. On a 19+ year old car. Pretty cool.

1977 Chevy Impala.

Bought around 1989.  Tore the exhaust system off sometime in 1990.  Fast as hell and even louder.

Sat 8 comfortably.
Totally forgot.  First time I ever went to get gas, I couldn't find the gas cap.  Yes, it was just like this scene.  I tried the license plate, but it wouldn't budge.  I was so embarrassed I finally drove away to some empty parking lot to figure it out.  It was under the license plate, but I was pulling up rather than down.
