Post-Draft Player Movement (1 Viewer)

Now that the draft is in the books prior to the start of free agency do we have any clues as to what key free agents are likely going where or who may be shipped out via trade or cut as the result of incoming rookies taking their spots? While, I followed the draft enough to know the top dynasty rookies, I really haven't had a chance to break things down on a team-by-team basis. In this very unusual offseason, who do we so going where now that the draft is over and assuming the doors open sometime soon?

I don't know. If the injunction stands, then only 6th year players will be unrestricted right? That means all those tenders that were extended to the 4 and 5 yr guys will hold up. I'm not sure if anyone will pay 1st round tender for DeAngelo or Sidney Rice, for example. I'd have to go find a list of who all was tendered at what level to have opinions. I seem to recall thinking that DeAngelo was tendered at a 1st round level instead of 1st & 3rd. However, considering the only RB taken in the 1st round was Ingram would someone really pay a a 1st round pick for a 27 yr old as well as the bigger contact that will go along with him? Maybe, but who? Denver?

I think we really might see some WRs go though. Sidney Rice or Braylon Edwards for example could still end up in STL. James Jones probably got a tender lower than 1st round as well.

If the lockout hold up then it's probably a totally different scenario. I suppose we would be waiting for a new CBA at that point which could free up the 5th year guys completely. But if that happens in late September then there would be no free agency until 2012 anyway. In other words it's probably safe to just look at the tenders that were extended earlier this year and speculate off of those.

Speculating on who will get cut is a totally separate thing. The main ones have already been listed above, Bush, MBIII and Ocho. I think Ronnie Brown stands a decent chance of staying in MIA another year.

Kolb to AZ for picks next year, not for Peterson this year like people are speculating. I see a 1st and 3rd or 4th in the mix for 2012.

You better throw a 2013 1st or 2nd rounder in there as well. Next years picks are less valuable than this years.

I still say Kolb goes nowhere because the Eagles are value hawks and undervaluing a player whose trading could revolutionize the team is not something the Eagles would do.

Idk what is going to happen to Donovan McNabb but he should be listed. Maybe even Haynesworth too.

For the Giants:

Cofield - gone, he's said he wants out

Bernard - might be gone, he hasn't lived up to his contract. Basically depends how cutting him affects the cap.

Bulluch - Gone.

Deon Grant - Probably gone. He likely wants to start somewhere, for the Giants he plays as a hybrid safety/LB.

Kiwanuka - Could be gone if someone overpays.

Bradshaw - I think he stays, his new contract should be affordable.

Boss- he'll stay.

Andrews - Might be asked to restructure, I don't see the Giants paying him that huge contract when his back will limit him to 8 games a season. THe team needs him but the $ may make him a cut.

need input from David Yudkin, but I anticipate some Patriot RBs hitting the road. I do not know contract status of Law Firm or the little engine that could.

Of course, I'm not David, but...BJGE is a RFA tendered for a 2nd rounderWoodhead signed a 3 yr dealTaylor is likely to retire, and Morris is likely not to be backRumors are that Kevin Faulk will be back.

Curious about the tender for Law Firm. Can they still just drop him if nobody wants him for the tendered amount?

Depending on the amount guaranteed, they copuld also waive Woodhead, but would possibly have to eat a little cash, and in years past that would impact the cap, but who knows?

Why would they possibly waive either of them?

One of the bigger RB names Reggie Bush will most likely be out of NO. I could maybe see him as a possibility for Miami.
