Felix and Jackson hurts me pretty badly. Looking to trade stevie johnson and deangelo for an underperforming mendenhall. My luck, I'll still miss the playoffs.
Hey ponchsox, there's a Venting thread pinned at the top of the forum for discussing just this kind of thing. Please use it instead so we can keep as much useful NFL talk on the front page as possible. And do you still think you can make the playoffs?
Hey dude, this isn't a vent. Its a chance for people to show their 0-2 teams that may have been unlucky but have good teams on paper.Hey ponchsox, there's a Venting thread pinned at the top of the forum for discussing just this kind of thing. That is rough; Foster and Charles went in the top half of just about every draft I was in. You had be ecstatic when you nabbed both. Now injuries have made this team a wreck.According to the rate my team before the season, I had a 90+% chance of making the playoffs, but pretty sure I am toast. Just my starters (or what was supposed to be my starting lineup):RomoFoster (have Tate and Ward)CharlesDez BryantManninghamSantana MossGatesSuishamEaglesPPR and 2PPR for TEs. This week I had to bench Bryant, lost Charles, lost Romo for about a quarter, lost Foster in game and somehow got a donut from Gates in a 2PPR league with Keller on the bench. Pretty sure at 0-2, I am already done, especially with Charles gone for the season.
This is exactly the kind of thing the Venting thread is for. You'll find a welcome audience already there for discussing things that are going wrong with your fantasy team or what you have in common with other teams in a similar situation. I was, especially with deep benches so I could keep both Tate and Ward easily. I wasn't anticipating having to choose so much on Foster and losing Charles makes the Foster decision worse. This was my earliest draft and I definitely would have not gone Foster. I figured 1-2 games with a backup would be fine for the reward once healthy, but starting Ward last week and Foster this week and not even knowing what week 3 brings makes this a mess I should have avoided. What sucks even more is after the first week Dez looked awesome even against Revis and of course they have him returning punts and Gates had 8 receptions and was healthy. Then week 2 and 0 points from those guys. Luckily, the injury bug decimated one roster and :knockonwood: my other teams stay healthy.I do have to say (to take my post away from venting), the one tough thing about this league is that it is a 12 team, 20 player roster league. The deep roster leagues make it much, much harder to dig out of a hole because every "sleeper" is already rostered. Not sure a single player in the WW3 thread is available. No way I could get a reasonably deep roster drafting TJones and McCluster along with Tate and Ward. 6 out of 20 spots for 2 RBs and of course I rostered the team that is RBBC now instead of the team that lost the guy for the season. Oh well, sometimes they hit, sometimes they don't.'dagwood said:That is rough; Foster and Charles went in the top half of just about every draft I was in. You had be ecstatic when you nabbed both. :( Lost Manningham in the first half as well tonight. Seriously? 7 non-D/K starters and I had 1 inactive, 1 concussion, 1 broken rib/punctured lung, 1 hamstring, 1 torn ACL and 1 first Gates game without a reception in 3 years.I was, especially with deep benches so I could keep both Tate and Ward easily.
