Post Your unpopular opinions (1 Viewer)

The NBA is awful. MLB is boring. Golf on tv is the worst. NFL and NHL is where it's at.

Women are much sexier with clothing than without. Leave something to the imagination. Not that I mind naked women, but give me a woman with some sexy tight somewhat revealing clothes and I turn to jello.

Rap is horrible. Just horrible.

People that call movies that include great special effects but cheesy acting/plot great movies, are idiots. You want special f/x, buy a video game. Give me a great plot and great dialogue any day.

Marijuana should definitly be legal.

No vehicle should be made/developed to go over the highest posted speed limit in the country it will be driven in. Why have speed limits and then make cars that can easily top that limit 5 times over? Many problems would be solved or alleviated.

Guys that wear sandals look fruity.
One thing you said might be considered unpopular.
Considering how many people watch the NBA, MLB, and golf on tv, and how many people listen to rap, and how many people go to watch the summer blockbusters with great special f/x (look how much $ they bring in), and how many dudes wear sandals, I would think these opinions would all mostly be unpopular.
Perception and reality are two different things.Baseball is huge. I agree with you on that one. Basketball and golf don't get nearly the numbers the NFL does, and the NBA is dwindling. Golf is over as soon as Tiger is.

Rap is popular among kids. I'm willing to bet that most other music genres crush rap in sales.

The Beatles were nothing more then a 'boy band' of their day. They were hot young dudes that came over from Europe and teenage American women went crazy for them. Their music was basically a rip off of american black blues musicians, and was nothing original or revolutionary. Their claim to fame to me is that they were the first major 'boy band' that is it... they basically invented the genere of 'boy band'.

 This is a good one. The only thing remarkable about the Beatles is that they're the Beatles. Their music is quite pedestrian.

Rap is the second biggest genre regarding musical sales, only behind rock. Rap beats classical, country, R&B, Jazz, etc...In short, rap is very very popular and if one does not know or realize this, they've been living under a rock for the past few decades. And it is not just popular among kids.

Braveheart is one of the most overrated movies of all time. Same for Shawshank except not to the same degree.

Northern Europeans have and will continue to exert their authority over other ethnic groups because we are able to best control our peasants. Put another way, with a handful of immaterial exceptions (Northern Ireland), the dumbest and most useless white people at some level respect the rule of law and do not encourage riots, bombings or other sub-human acts to the detriment of civilization. Instead, they wait for rich, smart and progressive white people (i.e. the Founding Fathers) to bring about the changes they desire.

The reason east Asian cultures are the only real threat to this influence is because they also control their riff-raff.

There is a reason this is unpopular: it's wrong.

I thought rock was dead years ago. Thought pop was number one. Shows how much I know.

Outside of him reading a few speeches that other people wrote, there is no indication that Barack Obama has better than average intelligence.
He has a JD from a top 3 law school and taught law at University of Chicago. You aren't giving an opinion, you are mis-stating facts. And i'm a registered Republican.

LinkJust one of many links to stuff like this. What this site doesn't show is the last few years where both country and rap are growing even more.

A person in their car should be able to hit people on their bikes while driving if they are on the road.

Not every kid needs to go to college.

We should simultaneously hold a Glenn beck and an Al Sharpton rally in every big city in the USA. Once everyone's in, we can lock the doors and shackle them all for their train ride to Utah, and bill a big wall.

Conversely, what the Ramones did in music history was much more significant then what the Beatles did. The Ramones were the first band to have the term 'punk' attached to them. At the time they started making music, no one was playing music like them. No one played songs with an average length of 2 min at 180 mph sans solos of any kind at a volume of 11. No one was singing about Cretins, Lobotomy's, or Punk Rockers. No one looked like them. They revolutionized the music landscape creating 'punk' music which layed the foundation for future bands like the Sex Pistols, Circle Jerks, NOFX, Green Day, Offspring, and Nirvana. The Beatles wrote a song called 'Revolution' but the only thing they revolutionized is the creation of the boy band.

too many atheists and religious people are self righteous.

It's an unfair argument to group average religious church goers in with the nut jobs.

Too many religious people don't fully understand their own doctrine enough to argue for it.

atheists and religious people could learn a lot from each other if they wouldn't dismiss each others opinions immediately.

Barrack Obama has benefitted from affirmative action more than any other person on the planet.

:lmao: Nice move from "there's no evidence that Obama has above-average intelligence" to "there are some bad professors in law schools, I hope/want/think Obama could be one of them."

And also a registered Republican. You make me look bad.

Dorks usually have above-average intelligence. Isn't that what makes the dorks?

Help me out here. Why would lobotomies take an apostrophe but not cretins or rockers?

A lot of people in nursing homes have no business being alive

edit: And a lot of them agree.

I wasn't really paying attention to it???

Federal law needs to be changed to allow more members of Congress with a provision that no House member shall have a district that exceeds 50,000 citizens.

I was going to add your edit but you beat me to it. We need a squad of Dr. Jacks to infiltrate these places and help those who want to exit exit.
I work a good bit in nursing homes now. I spent about an hour with a patient a couple weeks ago fitting him with the device I sell. Guy's 85, has Alzheimer's. About every five minutes he asked me for a gun, then made a finger gun, put it against his head, and said "bang." For the most part, the family simply can't let go, which I absolutely sympathize with, but I've instructed my family that if I'm ever in a position where I can't move, can barely communicate, need someone to change me when I crap myself, and my brain has stopped functioning on any sort of a normal level that I'd rather die than have the government (medicare/medicaid) spend a crapload of money keeping me alive when there's nothing I can do to actually enjoy life.

I don't care one iota that Barry Bonds, Roger Clemons, Alex Rodriguez, Sammy Sosa, Mark McGwire, Rafael Palmeiro and Manny Ramirez did PEDs. I think their actual 'performance enhancing' effects are overblown. I believe all should be in the HOF.

I call this "weekends".

lower political corruption by getting rid of congressman and senators and make something similar to our trial by jury system. we can have each state represented by the citizens and get new representatives every two weeks at random.

1. I hate trees, other than the occasional shade tree. I'd prefer all most all of them to be in a forest, far away from me, that I'll never visit. I like trees much better once they are cut down.

2. I hate shrubs and plants too. They just attract bugs and bees, which, of course, also suck.

3. As a tag-along to #2, landscaping is incredibly over-rated. A nice, flat lawn is usually much better than some stupid plants or shrubs.

4. I can't stand the Beatles.

5. On the other hand, I love Pink.

6. This will only be unpopular to men: I really like and watch Desparate Housewives and Private Practice (used to like/watch Grey's Anatomy too, but Meredith's whininess got to be too much).

7. Dr. Laura is awesome (don't know if that's unpopular).

8. While parenting is a very selfless thing to do, I've always felt like having children is sort of selfish and egotistical as people are convinced that world needs more of their spawn.
