Potential Wind Issues for Lions @ Bears Sun 1 pm (1 Viewer)

Sunday forecast from weather.com (27 mph wind)

Sunday forecast from wunderground.com (20-30 mph wind, 45 mph gusts)

Sunday forecast from AccuWeather.com (20-24 mph wind, 40 mph gusts)

It looks like something to monitor for now.

We've all seen where the forecasts are wrong either in the degree of wind, etc. or on the timing. To me, it seems like if the weather moves quicker than expected, the wind will dissipate some.

Personally, I'm not sure what I'll do, but since I have alternatives that are pretty close in expectations, I'll keep my options open at QB and PK depending on what the forecast appears to be as game time approaches.

Again, for now, just something to monitor over the next 22 hours.

They moved the game back to 4:15pm

Damn, hopefully its not too bad.

My only backup options would be to pickup Alex Smith or Ponder (Id probably go Ponder), which isnt great but I guess it could be worse with who else is playing the late games. I dont think I could bench Stafford for QBs of this caliber though.

No way. I'm in a situation where I have Stafford and Romo and Hanson and Henery. I already planned to start Henery as Chicago is stingy on PK and the Eagles figure to win easily. And I was pretty close to split on Romo vs. Stafford. I'll probably avoid the wind and start Romo but I would play Stafford vs. those options without thinking about it.

There would have to be a blizzard with 100mph winds for me to bench Stafford.

Didnt even think about Hanson and I have him on like 90% of my teams

When did they change the start of the game? was it because of the weather?

Sunday: Occasional showers before noon. High near 61. Windy, with a southwest wind between 20 and 30 mph, with gusts as high as 45 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Sunday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 43. Breezy, with a southwest wind 20 to 25 mph decreasing to between 10 and 15 mph. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph.

Even worse, do you dare drop Hanson for another kicker for one less-than-ideal week? Not many decent options for me that are top 3 scorers and a dome guy...

windy city

23 mph winds with gusts possible. sitting stafford for tebow and crossing my fingers...
23 mph isn't really a bi deal.
According to the NWS, the winds will be around 30MPH with gusts to 45MPH during the game. They will die down a little bit after halftime to 25MPH with 35MPH gusts.

Definitely hurts a guy like Calvin Johnson who runs deeper routes but I would still like Earl Bennett because of his ability to work the short game.

Calvin Johnson might be limited to something like 4/60 now.

Here's the wind advisory:

A Wind Advisory remains in effect until 6 PM CST /7 PM EST/ this

evening.

* Winds... south winds of 20 to 35 mph will become southwesterly

this afternoon as a cold front pushes across the area. There

will also be frequent wind gusts around 50 mph during the

advisory this afternoon.

Frequent wind gusts to 50 doesn't look good to me. Took Hanson out.

I live in Dowtown Chicago -- the wind is fierce right now -- will it be that way in a few hours - don't know but I literally hear it howling outside my window.

I'll take the over. It's windy in Cincinnati too, but Dalton and Big Ben seem to be fine.
