Pour One Out For the Has-Beens & Never Was’s (2 Viewers)

I remember trading Drew Brees for the draft pick that I used for Tyrone calico.

Kinda made up for that by trading Carr for the pick I used to select Brian Thomas jr. Coincidentally, both were the 2.01.

Last year I gave Kyle Pitts a three year contract extension because I knew it would be his year. :wall:

It's good to see someone else going down with that ship. I appreciate the grace shown to me for how outwardly my Pitts bromance was fed into this board.

Still on my roster. I would sell for an early 2nd this year. Best my league will offer is a 2026 2nd rounder. My brain says, "might as well hold and see if this is the season" - another spin on the roulette wheel never hurt 😂

my favorite never-was:

Danario Alexander

due to injuries. Dude had skill and was apparently a good person. I remember hearing an interview with him where he told a math joke.

Started him in redraft a few times in that one half-season stretch when was balling

Big fan

How many people, other than HSG, are still holding onto Rashod Bateman?

The Ravens are.
👋

Actually moved him in one league as part of a package for Addison.

But I still like the dude, despite the fact that he keeps re-upping with the worst possible FF team for his production.

First drafted WR in Ravens history to sign multiple contract extensions

(3 for 15 last year, 3 for 36 this year)

interesting tweet about his efficiency last year

2024 was his first injury free season, correct?

I’ll die on this hill: it’s not always about stats or money.
"Bobby loved bowling."

Nobody ever said Bobby the Bowler was a has been or never was.

FTR I’m not a bowler. I was, very briefly, spending several weeks of lunchtime bowling 3 games per weekday.

After about a month, I finished off a game with 4 consecutive strikes for a career high 219. I was 21, my goal was to bowl a 200 game, and I’ve basically never bowled since (occasionally will bowl at birthday parties or send offs….once every 5-10 years?)

Boy the 6-7 weeks between the end of mini-camp/OTAs and TC is like wandering in the NFL desert, eh? Absolutely nothing of substance happens.

What are you talking about Rodgers signed with PIT today

Like I said, absolutely nothing significant happens.

Eddie Royal -91/980/5 as a rookie and then never heard from again.

Was in a ppr startup after that rookie year, drafting at the 1.12/2.1 turn. Rookie picks were part of this draft, so I cleverly drafted 1.1 (i.e., Crabtree) and Royal. Figured my wr's would be solid for years. Oof.
