(He's hitting .419 as I type this on June 11.)
.368 is my guess.

he hits .400, but with 501 at bats, not enough to qualify for the record
How many does he need to qualify?he hits .400, but with 501 at bats, not enough to qualify for the record![]()
Techinically he needs 502 Plate Appearances to qualify. The formula is 3.1 PA's per team game. How many does he need to qualify?he hits .400, but with 501 at bats, not enough to qualify for the record![]()
SO you think he'll hit .300 or less the rest of the way?.351
His career average with this year included is .310. So I think he'll hit just below his career average the rest of the way.SO you think he'll hit .300 or less the rest of the way?.351

Now I'm no Chipper Jones fan, but he's hit over .300 nine times in his career, including .337 and .324 the last two years. You must be fishing..300He will fall off, he isn't that good.
And if you don't have enough plate appearances to qualify, you can take an 0-for-whatever to make up the difference. For example, if he was hitting .415 with 487 plate appearances (say 181 hits in 437 AB + 50 BB), he could add in 15 extra ABs to get to 502 PA. That would make his average 181/452 = .400At least someone knows the rules.Techinically he needs 502 Plate Appearances to qualify.
