Lions - Huff (for now)

If Wilkenson retires, and Ngata falls, he makes sense.

Detroit may trade down for a DE, I'd absolutely love to see them make a play for Mario Williams if he falls past the Packers to 1.06. Probably won't happen, it's possible if Leinart, Bush, Young, and Brick go top 4, then the Packers take Hawk.

1.09 - Lions - Huff (although I wish they would trade down and draft W Justice a few picks later).

1.32 - Nick Mangold - C, Ohio State University

:towelwave:
I was hoping for Mangold for a long time, but I think they committed to Chukky Okobi as their backup center and eventual replacement for Hartings. Im actually pretty stumped right now about who the stillers will take. fingers crossed that this guy will fall...1.32 - Jason Allen - DB, Tennessee

1.05 A.J. Hawk, LB, Ohio State

This kid was born to be a Packer!!
Did Monster.com do a commercial like this? When I grow up, I want to be stuck in middle-management...

;)

Vikings - Trade up and draft Matt Lienart at 1.02

1.5, A.J. Hawk, LB, OSU
Seriously, you guys are assuming that Mario Williams is already gone, right? If not, how can you possibly pass up a guy like Super Mario?
I'm saying who I think the Packers will draft, not who I wish they could draft. I don't see any chance that Mario Williams will still be available for them at 1.05.

1.12 whoever is at the top of Savages super-secret draft sheet of remaining players.

BPA sure is boring leading up to the draft, but is probably one of the best ways to build a team over time.

i've seen mocks with the Browns taking every different postion imaginable.

my guess is DL.

1.30 Indianapolis Colts

Trade back for early 2nd rounder and a bag of peanuts (as usual). Will be shocked if they draft anyone here, or move upward. Both definitely against the established norm.

1.03 Matt Leinart- QB, USC
Not if you are speaking of the Titans. 1.03 will be Leinart to the Jets.Titans take Cutler at 1.04.
yes i am speaking of the titans... there is no way even if they traded with NYJ they would take cutler... it would then be VY

1.5, A.J. Hawk, LB, OSU

YES. WE ARE.1.01 - BUSH

1.02 - WILLIAMS

1.03 - LEINART

1.04 - FERGUSON

1.05 - "DA HAWK"

This guy is a difference maker. It isn't very often that a players college production is better than his workout numbers, when his workout numbers are off the charts. This guy is a future Urlacher/Lewis/Butkus/Singletary/Lambert type of impact guy. He will be the man in GREEN & GOLD!

I predict that someone trades up to #2 to get Leinert. Then VY to the Titans at #3, Ferguson to the Jets at #4, and Super Mario to the Pack at #5!!!

In at least one respected source of draft info, I read that the Saints are pretty set on Ferguson and will only trade down if they are sure they can get him. So we have two scenarios - if the titans are set on young at 3 if Leinart goes at 2, the jets can trade up with the saints to get Leinart. If the saints are nervous about the titans taking DaBrick instead, then they just take him and Leinart falls to the Titans.Just something else to throw out there.

It makes more sense to me for the Saints to take D'Brick and Mario to drop to the Jets. I'm sure Mario would be hard for the Saints to pass up but D'Brick would make more of an impact than Mario.

Patriots--1.21

Who I want them to take: DeAngelo Williams...I just want to watch him play every week

Who I think they will take: Bobby Carpenter

I agree with the above posts that LB will likely be addressed--and Carpenter seems like a Belicheck type guy to me. I don't think they go wrong either way with Carpenter or Greenway .

1) I agree with Bloom that I think D'Brick is the pick at 2 and the Mario Williams talk is a smokescreen.

2) I think the Titans will take a QB at 3, particularly with the talk heating up that McNair has played his last snap as a Titan.

1.14 Brodrick Bunkley, DT, Florida State :pickle:
 1.15 Brodrick Bunkley - DT

1.22 Chad Jackson - WR

unless we trade up and take V.Davis, Cutler Mario, or :gasp: V.Young
If Bunkley makes it past both Cleveland at 12 and Baltimore at 13, I would be shocked.
You are correct. I would think Cleveland takes Bunkley unless a real gem somehow slips to 12. And no way does he get past the Ravens at 13.

While I agree that they've committed to Chukky as their backup center I don't agree that he's the automatic eventual replacement for Hartings. Given the Steelers history, I wouldn't be surprised if they opened the position up for competition. That said, I also wouldn't be surprised if they went another direction given that they may have more immediate needs in other areas.

After reading up on Carpenter a bit, I agree that he sounds like a Belichick type and is a definite possibility for the Pats at #21 (or even a little later in the round if they trade down).I've seen a number of mocks that have DeAngelo Williams falling to the Pats. But even with Corey Dillon heading in to the twilight of his career, I have a hard time believing Belichick would take a RB in the first round.

1.1 Reggie Bush

(That was a tough one  )

As a UT alum, I was originally hoping for Vince but it just doesn't seem like the right fit for this team. I'm no fan of Carr but I'm willing to let Kubiak have a shot at him. It will be a much quicker path to success for the Texans if Kubiak can get him straightened out. Carr + the pick looks better right now than Vince + whatever you could get for Carr.

To me a trade down (get some extra picks) seemed ideal until the Moulds story broke. I think they're trying to get Carr as many weapons as they can. Moulds will be 100 % better than anyone we've ever had across from Andre Johnson (regardless if he's lost a step or two), and hopefully AJ will learn a thing or two from him. Putzier, Walter, and Flanagan will also help this team. Add Bush to Domanick Davis and this offense just got a whole lot better in a hurry.

I know, the OL still sucks. I actually think it can be solid with Pitts/LT, McKinney LG, and Flanagan/C. The problem is the right side. We could probably get by with Weigert but Todd Wade is just plain TERRIBLE. Hopefully we get one or two good linemen at 2.1, 3.1, or 3.2. (That's a big IF-Casserly generally sucks in these rounds and it's killed us). We still have big time needs at DE, LB, CB, and S but the offense really doesn't seem like it's that far away, on paper anyway. What the hell, the defense sucks. At least make the offense good so we can watch some fun shootouts at Reliant Stadium. Load up on defense next year...

1.21 Patriots - DeAngelo Williams

The Pats wont take a RB in the 1st round unless a top 10 talent falls to them at 21. I expect the Pats to then use their extra 3rd round pick to move up and get a LB in the top of the 2nd round (Maybe Demeco Ryans or Manny Lawson who has been projected anywhere from pick 15 to pick 45)

Cleveland likes Bunkley, he would be DE opposite Roye.

Bills:

Trade up for Leinart or Ferguson.

Stay put and take Justice.

Thw whole media has them taking Ngata, and while I was on that bandwagon 2 months ago, I am off it now. I don't think I've seen a Mock that doesn't have to Ngata to the Bills with the 8th pick.
