Prediction thread -- Indy (7-0) at N.E. (6-1) (1 Viewer)

Patriots 32Colts 27
Funny thing is that I in particular, and most of the Colts fans in general, do not whine on these boards. If we get beat, we get beat. The Pats have had our number over the past few years for sure. I cannot and am not trying to argue with their success. I am just talking about this one game!
I'm not saying that....I'm a Colts fan and the crying is because i think we'll lose. I'm pessimistic and never can pick my team to win.

Wow. Pats getting the love from the FBGers....

It wouldn't shock me if NE beat the Colts and the Bears next month. Those geezers from Miami better get their champagne ready.

I'll eat my shorts if the Patriots let up 41. You cannot be serious.
You do realize that the Colts won in Foxboro just last year 40-21, right?
You do realize that the Patriots defense was missing a bunch of players to injury in that game, right? :)
So I guess the Colts can already have their excuse ready for this year then?
I'm sure they will. Maybe if the Pats win, the Colts can get another rule change this off-season?

Colts 27

Pats 24

I don't think the Pats D can stop the Colts O right now. Playoffs? Different story entirely; that is Colts hibernation season.

the real battle lies in the injury report

PizzaYour point of view is very justifiable and may prove to be right on.I can tell you are a typical Colts Fan because you want to discuss the Colts offense and ignore the Colts defense ( for good reason ). I also don't believe this years Colts team is as good as last years Colts team.I think the Pat's defense will stop the Colts more often than the Colts defense will stop the Pat's.I have it:Pats 31Colts 23Key stat will be Colts league worst 32nd place ranking defensing the run. And by the way the Colts have had their share of changes to the 53 man roster over the last year. Especially on the defensive side of the ball.Dwight Feeney is the only Colt defender that scares me.As long as Vinitari doesn't beat us I can live with either outcome.Enjoy the game !!

From what I can see, most Colts fans are frustrated with their defense right now - so I don't think they are ignoring it. And, so far on this board - their are 5 Colts fans that made a prediction on this game - and 2 are picking the Pats to win.

Colts 32*

Pats 28

*Colts need to score 2 TDs (including the first TD of the game) in the first quarter to win this game. If that doesn't happen, I fear their chances in a slower paced game.

Should be awesome!

I'm not trying to ignore the Colts defense?! It has been abysmal against the run. They have also been missing several key players on defense. Namely Bob Sanders and Corey Simon. That's not an excuse, but reality. I just think the Colts, if given a chance to get into a shootout, will win. I happen to think it will be a shootout. My book has the line NE -2.5. Which basically means the Colts are favored considering the normal 3 point advantage for home field. If it is a close, low scoring game, I give every advantage to the Patriots. That is their style. But if, and only if, the Colts get it going on offense, then 200 yards rushing won't be enough.41-27 looks good to me.It could easily end up 24-21 Pats, but I don't consider this a shooutout type of score.

Anybody else think that the OVER 48 in this game is a GREAT play?

I don't see either defense having much success stoping the opposing offense.
