Lions cut 5 players today, no names that anyone except a diehard fan would know except one (Jeremiah Valoaga - makes sense as they are moving to the 3-4 D this season.)

Only name player being debated this week was Ameer Abdullah, and given he didn't play last night, pretty sure he's safe.

Conversely, DE Anthony Zettel played a ton last night and appears to be on the bubble.

ETA: nobody outside of Allen Park gives a rip, but they're at 82, so 29 players will be let go before 4pm Saturday.

I loved Vereen with the pats and thought he'd be good with the giants but man. He now has hurt his foot, ankle, hamstring, groin, he's had a concussion, two season ending triceps tears, a wrist, and now a finger injury.  

If he gets butterflies in his stomach and hurts his bread basket he'll be a complete game of Operation.

It's time to call it a career dude.

Thank God on Henderson being cut.  Maybe he’ll go to a club that will give him a legit shot instead of languishing behind a turd like Booker.  DEN fans reacted pretty badly to his release over keeping Booker.

Colts cut John Simon, who IMO was their best IDP this preseason, although admittedly that's not a high bar  .  Newspaper said he was a casualty of the Colts switching from a 3-4 to a 4-3 and they thought he was too undersized to play 16 games at DE in a 4-3 and didn't fit at ILB either.  Will be curious to see if anyone picks him up.
