Preseason Games Thread - Observations and commentary from the FBG Shark Pool (1 Viewer)

One thing I've become increasingly certain of: The Giants brass might have been right and the rest of the world wrong re. Daniel Jones. He had a clean pocket for his drive, but he was perfect, including a couple of not so easy throws.

For Jones, and for Stiddham, I'm waiting to see what happens when the pocket collapses.

Washington should have had two TD’s tonight. He is absolutely eating.
Actually 3. Dobbs greatly underthrew him on the 40 yarder catch. That is a 90 yard TD, if Washington doesn't have to almost stop and wait for the ball.

Drew Lock looks like Drew Bust

Another Elway 2nd round special
To be fair, Lock has always been considered a guy who wasn't going to be ready in 2019. That was why he was a 2nd round pick, despite probably having better tools than any QB other than Murray.

And no need to rush him either with Flacco there. Love that landing spot for him

I hope you are right but I have to wonder why Washington was playing well into the second quarter while the staff didn’t need to see Moncrief. Just wondering why.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the Ravens traded K Kaare Vedvik to the Vikings.

The Vikings are sending a 2020 fifth-round pick back to Baltimore in return. Vedvik was on the trading block all offseason but talks escalated after he went 4-for-4 on his field goals, including a 55-yarder, during the preseason opener. The Vikings have been haunted by their kickers for what seems like decades. Vedvik, who is also an NFL-caliber punter, should fix their kicking concerns.
I wanted to post this here because I have a question: How the ##### do the Bears not immediately offer at least a 5th for this guy? Or did I answer this question earlier in this thread?

Cody Kessler was just blown up by Datone Jones who came in unblocked - breakdown in protection from the Eagles offensive line.

Kessler now being checked for any concussion symptoms.

Not sure about this Cardinal offense - it just looks like plays get players setup at the wrong angle to square up and get down field

ETA: no doubt about AZ Defense - it stinks - hello Vance Joseph!
