Presidential Debate Thread - Obama vs. Romney (1 Viewer)

Gas prices reflect the global price of oil. Period.
No, you don't understand energy independence. The US didn't export refined oil last year. The oil that we produce won't be sold on the global market to China, India, and Brazil. Our gas prices will be back down to $1.89 if we elect Mitt.

Confused by a Romney comment when they were talking about the energy jobs. He said the Obama policies suck, but in the next breath mentioned "jobs are already coming back" when he was talking about his plan. So which is it? Do they suck? Are the energy jobs coming back and if they are, why is that a bad thing?

Both men's tones are poor tonight.
We need a new debate format. When two guys call each other a liar, thats a stalemate. There should be a neutral fact checker on site and available in that moment.
I completely agree. I think you need a Politifact there and you also need something like a Power Point or videos to actually show evidence. You can just call them a liar and most Americans won't do their due diligence to look up the actual facts.

They should make a thread here: Guys who want you to like them, but do everything to make you dislike them,

1. Mitt Romney

Lets throw a few more billion at WIND baby
These green wind jobs Obama is creating for 10 years from now will be sweet.Romney giving some detail...
Energy independence through harnessing the power of solar, wind, and flying pigs.
That plan sounds as crazy as energy independence through coal, natural gas, and oil. Energy independence is a myth. It is called globalization and the oil we drill will be sold on the open market, so countries that are willing to pay $90 will get that oil so we won't see drastic drops in the price of oil.

Mitt was so much better the first time around. Tonight he isn't making much sense. Obama is more animated, and so far is the clear winner IMO.
