Wow, thank god football is on tomorrow. I'm prepping some beef stew and while flicking through channels came across QVC and the Pressuer Cooker XL. Looks interesting and of course they make it look easy, and that it's the best thing since slice bread. I have my doubts but thought I'd ask to see if anyone here has ever used this product. Does it work as advertised?

No, the wings come out like some sort of soupy mess following the 10 minute instructions. Only thing I have tried were the wings. 75 bucks down the drain.

Try something else. Stew, pulled pork, chili, something you would normally slow cook.

Wings may be the worst thing to stick in a slow cooker. Yikes, can't believe they advertise a slow cooker like that.

My wife bought one of these last summer. We used it a couple of times and it worked ok. The third time we used it my wife for some reason put the steaming rack in the cooker on the hot plate and put the pot on top of that. Long story short, it shorted out and we chunked it.

This Christmas I bought one of these and love it.

Made some chili yesterday and am thinking about braising some ribs today.

I've seen similar "shorting" out issues after reading other reviews. Perhaps I'll pass on it, and check out the insta-pot you purchased. Overall it appears it has good reviews. Thanks!

It's not a slow cooker, it's a pressure cooker
