Priest Holmes ....... (1 Viewer)

Is the talk about moving LJ have anything to do with Priest Holmes coming back? Does anyone have any information on Holmes and his injury? Chief homers?

I'm sorry. What? I was busy messing my pants looking at your avatar.

Holmes is toast. He's in Texas taking care of "baby-momma-dramas". Last I heard he still hasn't been cleared to play. Lots of question marks about his neck still.

But if you wanna take a chance on a 33 or 34 year old RB that's been away from the game for almost 2 full years...by all means, don't let me talk you out of it.

Ashcroft might back me up on this as well.

Holmes still has not received medical clearance to play . . . from an injury sustained in 2005. He'll be 34 in October. I would say the chances of him being anywhere near what he was at this point would be one micron above zero.

Holmes would start the season at age 35. He hasn't played since week 8 of 2005. He had a severe neurological injury. Before that he had 3 consecutive 400 touch seasons. In other words, no. He's not coming back and there is no way they view Holmes as insurance to LJ in any way whatsoever.

Thanks Guys, my avatar loves you too!

I have felt the same way about Priest but it just made me think as to why they would want to push LJ out the door this year. I know that he will be a FA next year so maybe the time is right. What would his value be? I'm thinking a Top 10-15 selection and a 3rd-4th rounder.

it's been a long time since I took sex ed but when I was young that was called the missionary position not dog style. kids these days.

From what I saw, the Chiefs may even consider taking a package of lower round picks.LJ will be 28 in November but has had an INSANE workload since taking over for Holmes. In that timeframe Johnson has AVERAGED 30 touches a game (745 touches in 25 games). That's a full 5 more touches per game than LT.I personally doubt he will get traded, but his workload scares me.

Highly unlikely.Teams are very reluctant to give up their 1st rounders anymore. Hell, Shaun Alexander and Edgerrin James couldn't even garner a 1st round pick.

If they were to trade him, they'd probably get a package of picks consisting of a combination of a couple of 2nd, 3rd, or 4th rounders.

So what you are saying is that there is a chance?

Yes . . . if they change the rules to flag football and Holmes only plays against hot women in string bikinis.

So again, what you are saying is that there is a chance. :lmao: By the way, that is one hell of an idea and something that would probably do better than the pre-game shows. Especially if they flashed the latest injury news on the bottom of the screen. If they told you which players were going to play and which weren't and combined it with scantilly clad women I would dare to say you would have fantasy gold.

I know some people that (years back)were blown away with his character, work ethic, attitude. If Herm's plans involve making him a RB coach of sorts and adopt some drafted RB I could foresee that.

Few RBs have ever had a nose for the endzone like him so if he's going to play that's the most I could see him doing and I agree with David's micron theory here
