pro-football-reference.com search plugin for FireFox (1 Viewer)

You can use bookmarks + keywords, too.

IIRC, here's the bookmark I use:

http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/%s.htm

Add that into your FF bookmarks, and give it a shortcut key like "PFRP". (I use this because PFR is my shortcut key for regular PFR, and PFRC is for coaches, PFRB is for the blog, and PFRD is for the draft querier; but obviously use whatever shortcut key you like). You need to know the player's IDs, but usually that's not too difficult. Curtis Martin is MartCu00, Randy Moss is MossRa00, Tom Brady is BradTo00. Eventually, you'll remember that Alex Smith is SmitAl03, Roy Williams (DET) is WillRo04, and Chris Penn Chad Pennington is PennCh01.

So if you type in [shortcut key] <space> player ID, it goes right to the page. For me, typing into my location address "pfrp AlexSh00" brings up Shaun Alexander's webpage.

Both of those are cool, thx much.

I ended up using

http://www.pro-football-reference.com/play...h.cgi?search=%s as my bookmark though.

That way I won't have to remember the exact format of the guy's id. I'd just enter "alexander, shaun", "alex,sh", "ale, sha", "a,shaun" or something close to that after the keyword and it will automatically take me to Shaun Alexander. Even if you don't get an exact match and an auto-forward, you should get close without erroring out.
