I play 6-8 leagues every year and double my money every year.Luck tends to be an excuse for people who just aren't that good. Kind of like the guys I play poker with
explain further please.if you bet 100 on 6 leagues, that's 600.If the winner of ONE league gets the whole pot, you then won 1200 and doubled your money. This, however, is not exactly a success. It's not a bad idea, clearly it's profitable, but I'd like to discuss it further as a theory to make some $

ignoring the feasibility of his claims, how the hell is that not a success?

If anyone really wants to follow through with this, I can put a simple site together.

It doesn't have to be a money league - isn't something like winning the Shiva bowl priceless?

I think the target consumer is someone playing fantasy more as a career move - an office fantasy league and doesn't want to look like an idiot. The incentives of this are far more than the returns of a fantasy pot - they could mean career advancement (and thousands upon thousands of dollars). I'm sure we'd see mostly 8-10 team non idp leagues. We could charge a draft fee plus a monthly waiver wire watch fee.

...with no guarantees of a championship - just a guarantee of non-embarrassment.

If something like that was ever put together I'd be interested in a PM with details.

tried to make it obvious...didn't work. He only won one in six leagues in the fictitious scenario I wrote. I did mention that it is clearly profitable.

I have done this for numerous years....in a few different forms.

I draft and manage or "co-own" 3-4 leagues a year with no financial obligation.

A few other leagues I recruit investors , I have two guys who have bought in for the last 4 years . They are interested in fantasy but only have money and not time to dedicate.

It is important to find leagues with a decent payout structure and rules you are familiar with.... getting in so many leagues if one has a wierd rule you can screw yourself.

I kinda fell into doing this a few years ago , before the internet took over. The CEO of the company I worked for started an Executive league with all the VP's buying in for 5K/10 teams. I was tight with one of the guys and he knew I won a league the prior year in the company and he asked me to draft and run his team...I couldnt go to the actual draft so I made up a draft list and he just went off it. I managed the team and helped him all year win this league with ease, not much competition. At the end of the season he tipped me 5k... sweet. I have been doing something similiar ever since with great success , although sadley not to that scale.

Good way to make some extra cash.
