Week 1 2025 who should I start thread **OFFICIALLY UNOFFICIAL** (12 Viewers)

0.5 PPR:
  • WR2 do I go Devonta Smith vs. Cowboys, Jaylen Waddle vs. Colts or Ricky Pearsall vs. Seahawks?
  • TE do I go Dallas Goedert vs. Cowboys or Jake Ferguson vs. Eagles?
Gotta be honest, I'm very tempted to say Pearsall. It's a good matchup and he may be the #1 WR in SF (better than even chance IMO). I think they have similar floors and, until we see if Miami is a dumpster fire or not I wouldn't invest much outside of Tyreek & Achane. Devonta is probably a lock for 7 targets, 65 yards and 0.5 TDs. He does have upside but he doesn't excite me this week, particularly if the Eagles roll the Cowboys.

Pearsall>Devonta>Waddle

I go with Goedert pretty easily here. I have heard great things about him this offseason and he's on the better team (on paper)

Goedert>Ferguson

I appreciate the response! RIght now I have Devonta and Goedert in my lineup so will likely swap em out!

Half PPR- pick one RB
Pacheco @LAC
Harvey vs TEN
(also have Ford vs CIN but he wasn't in consideration until reading through this thread)

Full PPR pick one:
Persall at SEA
Odunze vs MIN

Full PPR pick one TE:
Andrews @BUF
Henry vs LVR
Kraft vs DET

And finally the league that has me tied in knots. Full PPR/ 4pt throwing TDs

QB- pick one- feels like a 3 way tie!
Lawrence vs CAR (leaning this way)
Kyler @NOS
Nix vs TEN

RB- Firing up Bucky and Henderson
WR- Firing up London, Jaxson Smith Njigba and Marvin Harrisson Junior (no nicknames here pal).
Pick one flex:
Garret Wilson, Pacheco, Dobbins- could also see Wilson starting over MJH @NOS or Pacheco over Henderson.

Pacheco IMO, he's a hammer and I think you play him while he's upright. And I like his TD chances.

Harvey probably has a great matchup but I have no idea how he will be used. Dobbins is the starter, apparently. Harvey might get zero carries and 10 targets for all I know.

Pacheco>Harvey
___________
Pearsall>Odunze

Better QB, better matchup, likely #1 WR.
___________
Henry is a tease and will hurt you more often than help you, IMO.

I like Andrews and his redemption story after that hideous drop in the playoffs.

Kraft might be a smarter play, go with him if you think so. Personally I see a really crowded group or receivers in GB and worry about week-over-week consistency. But he does have a solid matchup (on paper)

Andrews>Kraft>>Henry
____________
Nix and I don't think twice about it.

Better, more proven, coaching by a wide margin. I see a more consistent profile from Nix because of it.

I need to see what Lawrence looks like before relying on him but, I am optimistic about him.

Like Kyler and the matchup but I could see this be a run heavy game plan.

Nix>Lawrence>Kyler
___________
Jets may have lost their best OL, Vera-Tucker, for the year. And I want to see if Fields and Wilson can make a connection again what should be a tough defense.

I like Dobbins and his potential opportunity but there still may be a question about ball distribution in the backfield.

Pacheco>Dobbins>Wilson
