Week 2 2025 who should I start thread **OFFICIALLY UNOFFICIAL** (2 Viewers)

Need to start 3 of these 4 players, who is the one I bench? 1 point per first down, no PPR, 1pt each 10 yards rushing or receiving:

Drake London @ Minnesota
Jaxon Smith-Njigba @ Pittsburgh
Courtland Sutton @ Indianapolis
Jaylen Warren vs. Seattle
For me the only way Warren gets in that lineup is if London is a late scratch. Unfortunately you won't know that by kickoff of Pittsburgh's game.

Still, we all may have been wrong about how the Steelers plan to use Warren. 13 opportunities and a 45% target share in a shootout last week seems, off. Wasn't he supposed to be the passing down guy at the very least? Why did Gainwell out snap and out target him? I need to see what's going on there before he gets in my lineup ahead of those three.

London/JSN/Sutton>>Warren

This is a tough one because it's super cluttered but I feel like going with the big name.

Choose 1:
AJ Brown @ KC
Ricky Pearsall @ NO
Chris Olave v SF
Jameson Williams v CHI
Emeka Egbuka @ HOU
Travis Etienne @ CIN
D'Andre Swift @ DET
DK Metcalf v SEA
Give me ETN. No Bigsby in the wings. BAD Cinci defense. Sampson had a bunch of catches vs Cinci last week. I expect JAX to eat today and ETN should get plenty of catches and find the end zone at least once today.

Got two teams where I own Walker and Charbs together and the nightmare scenario is unfolding.

So two different teams starting lineup calls involving these two. All leagues are FFPC scoring, so PPR, TEP 1.5 PPR, QRRWWTFFKD.

League one:

Walker and Charbs both in the lineup and sit Tyrone Tracy, or commit to one to start with Tracy.

League two:

Walker and Charbs both in the lineup
Or
Sit both SEA's, go with Sampson and Bowers(I have no MNF protection fwiw)
Or
Sampson and choose a SEA, sit Bowers
Or
Choose a SEA and Bowers, sit Sampson
Oh man...

Yeah, it does look like it may be the nightmare scenario. But... Maybe it is what it looks like and Charbonet is the guy the Seahawks trust more? I know the touch distribution was 12 to 13 but, the snap share was 58% to 40% in favor of Charbonet. We can't know after one game but, ATM if I bench one it would be KWIII who, I think may be overrated. He's living off a rookie season that probably wasn't as great as we remember it to be.

But do you bench a 40% snap share, 10-14 opportunity guy on a mid team in favor of a 75% snap share guy, Tracy, who may only see 15 opportunities on, probably, a bad team?

I think I would. I think the Pittsburgh defense will come around, eventually. I don't think the Cowboys defense will.

Tracy>KWIii

Your second one is more difficult, IMO. Sampson could be a mirage IMO. 20 opportunities on a 43% snap share doesn't seem sustainable. Now Judkins is set to play so it's tough to see his snap share increase.

An 18% target share seems equally unsustainable to me.

I don't "break down" film and I don't pay for access to access advanced metrics but low snap % + high target % says they don't trust Sampson too much with protections and he plays pass downs where he's running a route. So, again it's tough to see his snap share increase if Flacco is going to be throwing 45x per game.

Personally, I think we may have seen Sampson's last 20 touch game.

Even so ... The Browns probably will have to throw 40+ passes today so it seems like Sampson could see as many opportunities as Charbonet & KWIII and seems to have a better shot at 5+ receptions. I have to give the potential TD edge to the Seattle backs particularly with Judkins back.

Charbonet>Sampson>KWIII

As far as Bowers goes; that's entirely dependent on your risk tolerance. Clearly he is better than all your other options, probably combined But, I have no insight as to his availability and true health status for Monday night.

I’m waffling between Travis Hunter and Davante Adams in my WR2 spot in .5 PPR.

Puka is my WR1 and Trevor Lawrence is one of my QBs starting in Superflex, which makes the decision even more interesting.

Most rankings say Davante. Hoping both him and Puka do great may be a tall order some weeks.

12 team SF PPR 0.5 TEP.

Start Nabers or risk Bowers?
It's a pretty good team you have if you have to bench one of those guys.

Personally, I'm a little bit worried about how much Bowers will play even if he does start.

Nabers>Bowers

0.5 PPR Flex:

Jameson(Bears)
Jordan Mason(Falcons)
Montgomery(Bears)
Mason looks very similar to Monty IMO, so I lean to the better matchup between those two. For Jameson, it really depends on your risk tolerance. Both Mason and Monty are capable of multi-TD games, which represents their upside but they don't bring much in the passing game and I think their yardage is capped as time share backs.

Jamo is all about the big play, personally I am a believer and have him in both my lineups over Monty. I think I would put him in over Mason but it would be a very tough decision.

I think you need to go with your gut. Mine says:
Jameson>Mason>Monty

PRIMARY MONEY LEAGUE:
Standard Scoring / PPR
Flex x1 : Keenan Allen v Cedric Tillman?

SECONDARY TEAM:
Standard scoring / PPR
Flex x1: Aaron Jones, Darnell Mooney, Javonte Williams, Tre Benson, Quenton Johnston

THANKS IN ADVANCE!
First one seems very close, I probably lean towards Tillman just because I think the Browns are much more likely to be pass heavy than the Chargers. I still contend last week was more of an aberration for the Chargers and, they will revert to their run heavy ways if they get the opportunity.

Tillman>Keenan

For the second option I'm pretty strongly leaning towards Javonte. All the others are second, or third fiddle in their offenses (Mooney is also limited with a shoulder that has been a problem since TC). Javonte looks like the RB1 in Dallas and I think it's too early in the season to be concerned about Blue eating into his workload.

Javonte>A.Jones>QJ>Benson>Mooney

.5 ppr

D Adams @Ten
Allen @ LV
Dobbins @ Ind
Q Johnson @ LVS
Sutton @ IND
Swift @ Det
Nico Collins vs TB

I need 2

Thx
I'm not ready to bury Nico just yet. He should still be a smash start IMO.

For the other it comes down to Sutton and Davante for me and I lean Sutton because I am a believer in the Denver offense and have no problem risking it for another week. I just think last week is a mirage and Sutton is the Colston/Thomas in a potentially prolific passing offense. It's also a great matchup and they have, IMO, a lesser running game and commitment to the run than the Rams.

Nico>Sutton>Davante

Full PPR

Flex spor:
Hollywood Brown
Or
Treyveon Henderson
Full PPR I lean Brown. I like Henderson and think he could have a great game against Miami, it's certainly the better matchup. But, Brown should see 10 targets from one of the best so, he seems like a safer floor option with solid upside.

Brown>Henderson

Cards D at home against Carolina

or

Patriots on the road vs Miami

Cards are rated higher but the Miami O-line is a mess and should be a lot of sacks today. I can see Carolina running the ball a lot to keep the mistakes at a minimum

Need a flex in half PPR. Should I risk Bowers missing the game on Monday vs LAC, or go with Ridley vs LAR. If I start Bowers and he doesn't play, I don't have roster space to pick up anyone.

Thanks!
This is a risk tolerance question and, I think those are best answered by your self.

Personally I might start Ridley if I had zero options for plan B with Bowers. Additionally I am concerned that Bowers will start but act in more of a decoy capacity.

All that being said, in a normal world I'd start Bowers and it isn't close.

Ridley>Bowers

Full ppr need one for my rb 2. Swift or Henderson?
Floor v ceiling IMO.

I think Swift will see close to 20 opportunities with a chance at a TD. Henderson's usage still feels unknown but he has the much better matchup.

Very tentatively:
Swift>Henderson

But, know that I have always been a bit of a Swift apologist.

Emeka Egbuka @ HOU

DK Metcalf v SEA
PPR?

It's a great problem to have.

For me it's probably AJ because there has been so much talk about his lone target last week (which feels like forever ago already). Plus he is simply the best player of the group when healthy which, he is.

I can make an argument for DK in his first game vs his old team. Heck I could make an argument for any of them really but...

AJ>DK

LaPorta vs CHI or
J Warren vs SEA

0.5 PPR
LaPorta in what I think will be a rebound game for the Lions. Plus he was still solid last week in a butt kicking. Warren's usage was nowhere near what we all thought it would be. Not so much the touches but the lack of usage in the passing game and he played fewer snaps than Kenneth Gainwell. Too many question marks for me.

LaPorta>Warren

I think the Cardinals by a hair but, both are fine options so, if you love the Pats this week (and you're right about how bad they look) go with them.

Cards>Pats

12 team SF, Purdy is out so I need to pick a QB2 between Mac Jones AT NOS & Joe Flacco AT BAL
Flacco seems likely to have to throw 40+ times this week. I do like Jones, probably more than most but, if Shanahan has his way they're going to run the ball 95 times on 85 plays IMO.

Flacco>Jones

1 PPR Flex Spot

Boutte
A. Jones
Waddle
I don't know how I feel about Boutte just yet but, I like his matchup and those 8 targets last week are tantalizing. Jones looks like the secondary option in Minnesota, by just a little bit, and I think he will cede the goal line to Mason. And, personally I am not starting any Dolphins this week if I can at all avoid it (Achane is probably the only that most will be required to start).

Boutte>Jones>Waddle

Yes PPR, my bad. Thank you. I was leaning AJ.

Standard scoring

Had Tet McMillan in my lineup but with the Goedert out news, considering Devonta...so

T.Mcmillan @ Cardinals
or
D.Smith vs Chiefs

Which? Thanks!

As always, go with your gut.

I think Davante is my choice pretty easily. At least until Lawrence shows he isn't such a scattershot. I'd rather see eight targets from Stafford than Lawrence.

Davante>Hunter

I benched Bowers in favor of Kraft at TE. Now that Bowers is supposed to play, should I bench Tillman in favor of Bowers? The minimal practice has me questioning what would usually be an auto-start. I have Mayer or Thornton on the bench if needed.

If it means anything, ESPN has me favored by 15 points with Tillman in the lineup.

Bowers is easily the upside play. It's possible he's on some kind of snap count or they give Mayer more work than normal.

If you're favored to win (and you believe it because the app projectioins are often wonky) Tillman is probably the safer play. Ravens secondary leaves a lot to be desired, and Flacco loves to sling it.

6 point passing TD:

Lawrence vs an awful Cinci defense
or Nix vs an Indy defense that looked good against Miami but it's possible Miami is just bad.

Hi all Need one Flex PPR:

Pittman vs Denver
RJ Harvey vs IND
Charbonnet vs Pitt
Demario Douglas vs MIA
WanDale Robinson Vs Dal

Thanks

Full PPR, Need 3 of these 6 WRs.
  • DK Metcalf (Target leader and revenge game this week?)
  • Chris Olave (13 targets in week 1)
  • Calvin Ridley (Not covered by Surtain this week)
  • Ricky Pearsall (Mac Jones at QB?)
  • Kayshon Boutte (Mayes favorite receiver?)
  • Cedric Tillman (Think outside looking in, but also led in target)
Please help!

Metcalf easily

I think it's really close between the next 3.

I lean Ridley and RP.

With Mayer and Thornton in house I would definitely have Bowers in my lineup. I am a little worried about the decoy factor but, he's too talented not to risk it. I never buy into projected fantasy scores and I never will until someone starts tracking their accuracy.

Bowers>Tillman

We’re in the bonus round, where the prizes are double!
:pickle:

12 team PPR SF. Need a flex.
Jauan Jennings AT NOS
or
Rhamondre Stevenson AT MIA

Hi all Need one Flex PPR:

Pittman vs Denver
RJ Harvey vs IND
Charbonnet vs Pitt
Demario Douglas vs MIA
WanDale Robinson Vs Dal

Thanks
Tough call. IMO Pittman is clearly your best player and therefore probably worth the risk. If you're going to get 8-ish targets I'd rater it be to the most talented option. After that it's a lot of spec plays.. I think Demario and WanDale are interchangeable and both have good matchups. The Seattle backfield is a mess but Charbonnet may be the 1A so maybe those 12-15 opportunities will be enough.

But for me, in a full PPR:

Pittman>Demario>WaDale>Charbonnet>Harvey

I love Pearsall and DK this week. Jones is a better QB than most think, go look at BTJs splits between Jones and Lawrence and Pearsall is in line to get fed with no Kittle and a limited Juann. DK is playing the Seahawks and I think Rodgers is going to try and make him a game changer.

After that it's a tougher call. Boutte has a nice matchup and the Browns may have to throw another 45 times this week. And, as you pointed out Olave is seeing a massive target share. It's kind of a pick'em.

Personally, I think I lean towards Olave and the volume.

DK>Pearsall>Olave>Boutte>Tillman>Ridley

12 team PPR SF. Need a flex.
Jauan Jennings AT NOS
or
Rhamondre Stevenson AT MIA
Isn't Jauan very limited this week?

I'll risk it with Rhamondre who, I believe is still the 1A (he had a 65% snap share) in a great matchup.

Rhamondre>Jauan

That’s how I have it.

Jennings is active but beyond that we don’t know much. My 92 y/o grandma was once described as “active”, so… yeah.

Caleb Williams @ Detroit
JJ McCarthy v Atlanta

ATM I have JJ in but, I'm really thinking the Vikings are going to try and be run focused early in the season and this seems like a Falcons defense that can be run on.

The Bears should have to try and keep up with the Lions on the scoreboard and, despite his short comings, Caleb is probably going to have to a lot more than JJ.
