Fairly simple. Not who do you think will win or who did you bet on. Just, who you hope wins.

ETA: If you want to give a reason, feel free. Even as a Bear's fan, I'm rooting for #4. Go...Packers?

Plus a response is a bump = more voting

Pats fan; the choice for me is obvious.

Things won't always be this good in Boston sports. I want to be able to look back in ten years when we're going through our next drought and say "man, they were great."

I'd like to see the Pats win it just so I can be one of those grumpy old men saying "I remember watching the 2007 pats go 19-0.. man, THOSE were the days!!" :lmao:

2nd choice Pack

3rd choice Chargers

25th Giants

1. Pack

2. G-men

3. Black Sunday re-make

4. Super Bowl Canceled

5. Power outage in Glendale

6. Power outage at my house

7. Chargers or Patriots (at that point it won't matter - I dislike both equally - although to be fair - I dislike the Chargers' players, and I dislike Patriots' fans)

Pack all the way here. My fellow fans can't seem to understand why I actually WANT them to face the Pats in the SuperBowl, but I do. So many enticing storylines to that matchup - and with a victory, Favre would have one of the most dramatic finishes to a career in NFL history.

If the Pack doesn't win, I'm ok with the Pats. I'd like to be part of something historic, either way.

Hell, I'd think you'd be glad I gave them a 2nd choice. :shrug:I seriously thought of switching Giants and Pack just to go on a  trip, but looks like 2nd worked just a well. :PHow many Viking fans do you know who would actually root for the Pack? If the Pats don't win it to make history I'd have no problem with the Pack taking it.

Some good games already. Looking forward to seeing the players play the next one.

Bears out, no hate for the Pack.

Happy for whoever wins.

1a) Pats

1b) Pack

2) Giants

3) Chargers

The good guy in me wants the Pats to win just to cement history (and because I'm a fan), but I would also be happy for Favre and the Pack if they win. It would be the comeback, feel-good story of the year.

The rampant jerk in me wants the Pats all the way, just to see the heads of half the people in the media and on these boards explode. That sickening feeling they all feel will continue into the off-season as the talk about what they do with their #7 draft pick heats up. It's the feel-bad story of the year.

Patriots

Chargers

Giants

That team with the overrated fan base. Sorry but I lived in WI when they stunk and had tons and tons of Cowboys fans running around that all of a sudden became life long Pack fans when they got good and went to the Super Bowl. I realize all fan bases have them but this fan base likes you to believe they have less and their fans are more loyal overall. Bull****.

I voted Pack, but echo your sentiments. I wasn't alive to see the '72 Dolphins do it, and I really don't want to see Mercury Morris' arrogant ### on my TV every time some team goes 10-0.

1. San Diego. I've been there. Nice town. Good memories. Neither hate them nor big fan, but one of the more likeable remaining teams.

2. As a Bears fan, it pains me to put them this high. But to be honest, as much as i dislike the pack, I respect them and their style of play. However, I have Ryan Grant on my team and I really think he will play better if favre plays one more year. If GB wins, Favre will retire (my guess).

3. NY Giants. I dislike all NY teams in all sports.

4. New England. I want MY BEARS to be the first team ever to go all the way undefeated. I don't care to look back 10 years from now to remember history. I want my Bars to make history. IF NE wins, its one record that will never be broken, just tied, unless they make the season longer.

Chargers*

Packers*

And I really can't even rank the other two. Too many Giants fans I personally dislike, including my psychotic, racist, xenophobic ex-boss who hates all foreigners and all Americans southwest or Northeast of NY. And I just want the Pats to fall. Share the wealth and I generally go for underdogs if I don't like the favorites. So I really can't even include those two teams in the equation.

I love how you can't say it, and didn't actually say it.

Interesting results, so far. I'm in no way surprised that the Packers have more than twice the votes of anyone else. Favre is obviously a great guy to root for here.

I'm a bit surprised that the Patriots are second. America usually loves an underdog, but I guess football has its share of bandwagon-jumpers.

I'm very surprised that the Giants are getting smoked. What's this all about?

1. Pack

2. Chargers or G-men, don't really care either way

3. A team with Saddam at QB, Hitler at RB and Charlie Manson at WR

4. Pats

I find myself strangely attracted to the idea that the Mannings could win back to back Super Bowls.

It would have been interesting if they would have played against each other - the media would have collectively wet themselves.

The Patriots. We would all be privileged to see a team (any team) complete a perfect season and go down as the best of all time.

I understand that the Patriots are the most hated team in football right now, but I think there comes a point where you have to put your emotions aside and appreciate the sheer greatness of what you are bearing witness to.

why? football wouldn't be as interesting without all the emotions. and I want MY team to be the one to go undefeated, not yours. And everything is cyclical. The hate for the Patriots will subside once they become a losing franchise again.

I don't know, maybe it's just me. Watching greatness is just an experience, I guess. When you're watching a no-hitter on TV in a baseball game that doesn't involve your team, are you cheering for the pitcher or are you cheering for it to be broken up?

Maybe if they were a more likable bunch...

Now imagine it's a Yankee pitcher and ask yourself the same question. Clemens or Pettite maybe.

But as a Red Sox fan, the Yankees are the only team whose theoretical no-hitter I would like to see get broken up. Are you saying all the Patriots haters feel as strong emotionally about them as Red Sox fans do about the Yankees?

If that's the case, you're right, but that can't possibly be the case here. Maybe Colts fans or division rivals might feel that way, but the rest of the league?

yes, everybody hates you.Only the casual football fan and the Pats fans want you to go undefeated.

That is indeed the case. Us Patriot haters feel as strong emotionally about them than Red Sox fans feel about the Yankees.Actually I can't stand the Red Sox or Yankees but that is another topic...

I neither hate nor especially like the Patriots. I respect and to a certain degree, admire Tom Brady. I do not see how anyone can hate him (aside from Buckeyes and Irish fans, maybe Peyton lovers?) Most people are just jealous of the man, yet for what he's been through and done, he's an exceptional person and story. I'm not a "casual" fan, but I appreciate greatness. When I watch Peyton Manning when he was on, LT last year, Brady, Barry Sanders, Randy Moss, Jerry Rice, and few others, I truly appreciate their talents.

That said, I would appreciate watching history, but I am not cheering for it. :hot:

If the accuracy of my prognostication doesn't matter, then I'd definitely have to go with the Texans. Runner up would be the Seahawks.
