The girl at Target said you have to buy the external drive specifically made for PS4. It's $100 I think. How many fames can you download onto 500gb before it's a problem?
What do you do when it is a problem? Can you store it on a cloud, external drive, etc?

Yes, it's actually Sony who cut the price on the Uncharted and Star Wars Battlefront bundles to $299. Dec 6 through Dec 19th.Doesn't pretty much everyone have this same deal? Walmart, best buy, frys, etc...
All the sources I'd seen said that PS4 will only play games from the internal hard drive. An external can only be used for music, movies, etc. Or you could do a whole system backup for later restore to one. Sony has directions on how to replace the internal hard drive. Xbox you can play games off an external.Any hard drive can be formatted for use on XB1 and PS4.The girl at Target said you have to buy the external drive specifically made for PS4. 37Once you buy the game from PSN it's yours, whether it's on your drive or not.
You can download/play/delete/download again as much as you want.
How many games do you need on your HD at any one time?
How is that in any way a "scam"?So it is a scam. All the sources I'd seen said that PS4 will only play games from the internal hard drive. How so? Any external USB drive will work. Not really a scam, but typical Sony to make more money.
PS4 is internal only, and you can replace the internal with whatever HD you want. XB1 you can use an external drive.I assumed Ps4 and XB1 were like 360 and PS3 in that you can connect an external USB drive for use. Is this not correct?

Well that's dumb for Ps4. Hammers home which one I'm getting first this year. You can connect a usb.Xbox One can store/play games, saves, mediaI assumed Ps4 and XB1 were like 360 and PS3 in that you can connect an external USB drive for use. Is this not correct?
PS4 can't play games from usb, only saves and media
Plus, if you think space will be an issue, just get a 1TB ps4 to start off. Like you said, not sure what people need all this space for though.I haven't come close to filling my only 500 gigabyte ps4 so not really an issue for me but if you want to buy another hard drive you can upgraded it in about 15 minutes so I don't know what people do that use all that space
Considering games are exceeding 40gbs and you only can access about 80-85% of the quoted space of a hard drive, that's only about 10 games you can have at a time on a hard drive for a 500gb one. Also consider they have Ps4s for $299 with 500gb and $450 for the TB. $150 for 500gb? Umm no. You can get an external 500gb for less than $50 now and 1tb hd for less than $60.Plus, if you think space will be an issue, just get a 1TB ps4 to start off. You can get an internal hdd for pretty much the same price and replace it your self. 65 for a 1 TB on amazon right now. Yes they are marking up that 1TB model. I'm never playing more than 10 games at a time.Insein said:Considering games are exceeding 40gbs and you only can access about 80-85% of the quoted space of a hard drive, that's only about 10 games you can have at a time on a hard drive for a 500gb one. I am wondering the same thing. I just played a game of the original Battlefront on ps2. It would be great if they just updated that with some graphics at some point. That game is great.SW Battlefront is already marked down to $39 at GameStop. Does that game suck? Was looking forward to that for a Xmas present.
I guess I am in the minority and don't know why I would be playing more than 10 games at a time.Considering games are exceeding 40gbs and you only can access about 80-85% of the quoted space of a hard drive, that's only about 10 games you can have at a time on a hard drive for a 500gb one. If it was as quick as changing a disc then there would be no issue. If I want to play a game out of the blue, I don't want to have to wait 15-40 mins depending on my internet connection to play it.KarmaPolice said:Insein said:If it was as quick as changing a disc then there would be no issue. I get sports games wanting to be on there permanently , but it seemed like the ones I have were smaller gb requirements as well.
There's a thread somewhere for the game. Just about every review I've heard of it was unanimous that it is fantastic at capturing the feel of the movies, but the actual game elements are very limited to where it is going to be repetitive and get old fast. As in, only a few game modes, only 4 maps for each game mode, no single player worth the time, and not much in the way of weapons to unlock that you'll use in place of your normal one.Tom Skerritt said:SW Battlefront is already marked down to $39 at GameStop.
