Punt Yards 1-999 .05 point for every 1We only give points for punting yards, 1 per 20. The top punter this year averaged 13.9 points a game, but the 12th best one was only 2.9 ppg worse at 11.0. So while it may sound like a lot compared to other positions, the value of the position wasn't huge over the course of a season compared to other positions.However, I really love using punters. They are a lot more predictable than say, place kickers, both for the year and for a single game, though it doesn't follow team's records as closely as you might think.You could also include punts inside the 20 if you wanted. We might add it, but I haven't considered it much of a priority. They already score enough.

If I ran the NFL, my first rule would be that kickers and punters would have to return the opposing teams kicks and punts.
