Amazon is like the Walmart of returns. You can send them back anything and as long as you used the emailed return label.

I ordered some of those expensive underwear that all you FBGs recommended. I wore them for about a week and wasn't impressed. I simply went through the automated response and sent them back no problems. Can you believe that! I sent them back week old worn underwear that I didn't even wash! Man, I feel bad for the robot at Amazon that had to handle them.

Lesson: Never accept an item that is in any kind of damaged condition... Notify Amazon (or anyone for that matter) and call UPS/FedEx/?? to have it picked up if it was left w/o a signature. However, If you sign for a damaged package/box, its yours to battle over (do you buy open items in stores?).

Don't buy stuff like this on amazon. Buy it from a store where you can actually return it to if needed.
